Unfortunately, we do not dictate how repairs/decisions are made on recalls. We follow the direction of the manufacturer. Toyota does send letters to inform customers of recalls. They also contact customers, via mail, when recalls are due to expire. We will do some research on your case and reach out to you with any updated information that comes our way. I did receive the recall letter and I took it to the dealership for the recall issue. The dealership chose to spray the frame which is no help for the issue. Bottom line is that Toyota Tacoma has a frame problem and Toyota corporate knows about it. It should be taken care of properly not just coated and called fixed. I understand that you follow what Toyota corporate dictates and they should realize that your dealership is dealing with these issues because of Toyota corporate choosing to use a cheap frame that had known issues. My Toyota Tacoma is not the only Toyota Tacoma with a frame rotted. I took mine in to have it repaired (elsewhere) and guess what there was another Toyota Tacoma there with the same issue in the same spot. This is not a once and a while thing. There is no such thing as Toyota care and that comes from corporate. Good luck with dealing with Toyota corporate
