The Whitaker Buick Company started business in 1954 on University Avenue in St. Paul. At just 30 years old, founder Bill Whitaker was among the youngest GM dealers in the country. His attention to personal service and emphasis on integrity led to sales and service leadership for the Buick brand in the Greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area and beyond. With the departure of dealerships from the crowded confines of inner city locations, current President Steve Whitaker moved its operation to FOREST LAKE in 2006.
Located just 4 miles north of the I-35E/35W junction, Whitaker is easy to find at the intersection of I-35 and County Rd 2 (Broadway Avenue).

Eric Pratt in service and the gentleman in parts provided excellent service as usual. Went in for oil change and tire rotation and found an issue with a small part that fastens the gas tank fill tube. It was excellent service as usual. Pleased Pastor I recently purchased a used 2014 Buick LaCrosse from Whitaker GMC and it is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. My salesman was I recently purchased a used 2014 Buick LaCrosse from Whitaker GMC and it is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. My salesman was Gary Miskowic and he was very helpful as I test-drove the car and considered my options. I had dealt with Gary earlier when one of my sons bought his first vehicle and he helped him make his decision. I had to finance the vehicle and it is always fun to hear the stories the Bob Flinn. I even had the General Manager Jim Bush stop in to see how I was doing. Great Experience I think Mike Gaydos is the best. I have been driving 2001 vehicle for 15 yrs so I knew nothing about Vehicle technology for year 2016. Mike spent at l I think Mike Gaydos is the best. I have been driving 2001 vehicle for 15 yrs so I knew nothing about Vehicle technology for year 2016. Mike spent at least 1 1/2 hours showing me how everything works and he made sure i knew how to operate everything in my car before i left the lot. I Love my Chevy Malibu and will recommend family and friends to shop at Whitaker, I left knowing that if i had any problems or questions Mike and the service center would be there to help me. My experience with Steve in financing was very informative and went smooth and quick. More
