Bought a 2015 Kia Optima hybrid with a few hundred miles on the car. The sales lady told me that it was used to go back and forth by the sales associates . Within a few months my car broke down . Had it towed to Kia and they took three days to call me and let me know what was wrong with it . They said I needed a new transmission but it's covered under the warranty . I called to speak to the sales manager tom who from the beginning was very rude and cocky . I told him they should not sell a brand new car without checking it first . I bought that car not thinking it would break down after a few months . He said to me well our sales people wouldn't know that. No they wouldn't. But performance Kia should not be selling vehicles that are no good . Horrible vehicles and horrible customer service .

I have owned Kia Soul since Jan 2014. The car is already falling apart. When I purchased my car in 2014, the car was brand new. I thought that I traded in my 14 year old car to have a worry free life for at least 5 years. Unfortunately, that is not the case. My car is a piece of junk. I never know if it is going to start or if it is going to accelerate. Unfortunately, no one cares to find out what the issue is at the dealer. I have expressed my concern for my personal safety numerous times and it has appeared to fall on deaf ears. My lights go out intermittently. My car may or may not start. The car accelerates and slows down with little or no warning. Since they cannot find the issue with the computer, they do not want to investigate my issue. I honestly do not know what mechanics would have done before computers obviously Kia doesn't either. My service adviser appears to have an attitude and is not personable. It seems like he gets pissed when asked to do anything related to his job. He often comes off as nasty on the phone and annoyed. I have extensive warranties and fear that my car is not being properly investigated because I do not have to pay for service. I am not sure. Either way, my car is not safe to drive. I do not feel safe when driving it. I have expressed this many times. I urge anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from Monroeville Kia to look elsewhere. Do not waste your money on this brand. You will have a warranty, but it is no good if they cannot find the issue or do not care to find the issue or if they will solely rely on the computer, which may also be defected. It is no good if you do not feel safe in your car. I purchased my car brand new so that I could drive and take weekend trips without worry, but I am not sure if my car will make get me to and from work. This is the last Kia that I will purchase. I am going back to Chevy. Hopefully, I can trick someone into buying this over priced power wheel.

Pete sold me a 2012 Sedona in the summer of 2011 since I had to move my musician daughter to Baton Rouge, LA. I couldn't see how we'd transport her instrument, computer, etc. in a U-Haul! Pete was great, as I knew he'd be. After all, we had patronized Schlenker Motors since 1980. The van was also great--I didn't need brakes at all in the three years I owned it and I put 56K miles on it! I loved that I could remove two seats and fold two more down.
This fall I decided I wanted a car, so, of course, I turned to Pete. When I’d told him I wanted a Fusion, he not only found me a wonderful pre-owned one with only 9K miles, he handled my purchase efficiently, in a friendly manner, and gave me a great trade-in price. I recommend Pete Schlenker to anyone looking for a personalized experience in car shopping.

Manager needs a lesson in customer service. I was the only customer if the facility. When he came out of the office to review my "great deal" he just worked up for me, it was not what I had presented that I wanted to spend. He said "I just worked for 20 minutes on this, you should buy 2 at this deal". Again, let me remind you I am the only customer in the facility and as far as I knew it was his job to work on "great deals" for people. The sales and finance folks were very pushy and tried to tell me what was best for me. I had to ask numerous times what they were paying for my trade and I was told "we are paying it" I asked to see the number they were paying and again I was told "it's being paid". The only thing that was ok about the expirence was that the sales woman was friendly.

A Matter of Trust - PAKIA2014
I drive 20 miles to bring my Kia vehicle to Lehighton because I trust that their service would keep my vehicle in perfect driving condition. Every time I go there to have my vehicle serviced, I go over the multi-point inspection list afterward to make sure everything was checked. I put my trust on those check marks. On January 5, the temperature had dipped to the single digits and I noticed my Tire Pressure Monitoring System was permanently lit. I called Kia Lehighton and the person I talked to already knew what I was calling about. Apparently, I was not the first customer to call that day. " Are you calling about the horse shoe with an exclamation point inside?" she asked. Anyway, she assured me that the problem would go away after I have driven my vehicle a few miles. She told me that I could go to the dealership but I felt no need to drive 20 miles just to take care of under-inflated tires.
I went to a gas station to take care of the problem myself. When I got there I found out that I couldn't open the cap of the tire valve, even when I tried to use a pair of pliers. I called up Kia Lehighton again and asked to talk to a service advisor. He told me to just do it gently so that the cap will not break. I went home and took out my WD-40 and wrench to gently remove the tire valve cap. When I finally got them off, I noticed that all four tire valves were covered in a white powder, which suggests that they have not been opened for quite some time. It has not been a month since my last service and when I checked my receipt, the "check tires/measure tire thread depth" was indeed checked. This did not agree with the powdery deposit in my tire valve.
A year ago, I agreed to put nitrogen in my tires. I paid for that service because their flyer said " with nitrogen it can take six months to lose 1.5 psi." Since I have my car serviced about 3 times a year, I didn't have to worry about low tire pressure anymore. That is, if the dealership actually did the multi-point injection.
I went back to the gas station to pump air into my tires. The air pump had a digital display that shows the initial pressure in the tire and stops automatically when the set pressure is reached. All my tires registered an initial pressure of 30 psi. My recommended tire pressure is 33 psi. If my tires lose 1.5 psi every 6 months, then it is safe to assume that my tires were not checked during my last service. Perhaps they were not checked after I put nitrogen in my tires a year ago.

Owning two Ford vehicles, I was had no choice to use this dealership for the warranty work on my vehicles. I brought the first one in for noise in the front end, after various warranty claims and co-pays and tacked on services. Surprise, surprise, the noise is still there, however they recommended that i have other work done, work that are unrelated to the noise issue. After that issue, here comes inspection, I brought the same vehicle back for inspection, however it failed for the previously recommended service, keep in mind they can't fix the noise. so approximately $1,000.00 later I got my vehicle inspected. Somehow the quoted price always differs from the actual price by a significant amount, that benefits them. Vehicle 2 went in for oil change and tire rotation, came back with a list of recommended services. Speaking with the service writer, I purposefully asked if there were any safety items, his reply was we recommend this but it can wait. Fast forward 3 months, vehicle needed inspection, surprise! failed, why? You guessed it, for items on the recommended list, they were now safety concerns. After speaking again with the service writer, he said the total bill for the required maintenance was, wait for it...$3,478.34. I immediately demanded my vehicle returned, when I went to pick it up, the charged me for an oil change, and emission sticker. I was told that they had completed the emission and oil change prior to the vehicle failing safety inspection. I took my vehicle to another shop, where surprise, surprise no oil change, and no emission sticker, even though they charged me for it. Keep in mind that its now two days till my inspection stickers expire. Did that play a role in what they did, your absolutely right it did. The basically took my vehicle hostage. I went to another dealership, they immediately took a look at my vehicle and said it was in excellent condition since it hadn't missed a single service, was serviced at the correct intervals, it was well maintained, and cared for . They immediately offered to purchase my vehicle at above blue book value. I sold my vehicle and purchased a Jeep so i will never have to deal with these people again. I would recommend that you never use their service department because it seems they are out to rob you blind, they are an epitome of the nightmarish, stereotypical, slime covered car dealership. Just in case you were wondering, I immediately spotted the BS coming from their mouths.
