2024 Cadillac Escalade, Sport Platinum
This is strictly a review on the Cadillac/GMC service department. It’s a bit long but I wanted to leave an honest review.
In April 2025 I had service on my vehicle and it was returned with grease prints everywhere. Zero care was taken to return my vehicle in the same condition I dropped it off. Was sent a survey by the dealership and submitted an honest review. Received an email from the service manager (Jimmy Mann) apologizing and he’ll look into it. Please call in the future if there are and issues.
Jump forward to July 27, 2025. Bad rain storm and my sunroof leaked into vehicle. (Clogged drainage tubes) Called dealership on Monday July 28 to schedule a service appointment. Was told the first available appointment was 7 days away on August 4th and their wasn’t any dealer courtesy vehicles available until Wednesday August 6th. I took the first available appointment because of the amount of rain we have been having. Then I called the service manager, Jimmy Mann, and left a message for him to call me back. Wanted to see if there was anyway possible I could get an appointment sooner due to water coming into my vehicle. Two messages on two separate days were left for him and never received a return call.
Dropped off my vehicle on August 4 at 09:00 with two issues.
1-leaking sunroof
2-glass display covering climate controls was lifting on the right side
Received a call at 5 PM that it was ready for pick up. Arrived at 6 PM to pick up my vehicle and reviewed the work order of the work that was done and nothing was written about the glass display cover.
Was told my vehicle was in the back parking lot, nobody brought it up for me. I had to go into the back parking lot and find it. It was jammed between two GMC pick up trucks.
First thing I noticed was grease handprints on the corner of the hood and on the door handles. Walked back into the service area and requested the manager. Jimmy Mann walked out with me as we looked at it, and I explained to him that this was absolutely unacceptable, my vehicle was in immaculate pristine condition when I dropped it off. Of course he apologized and we brought it down to the check in area. This is where it gets worse.
Upon further inspection we came across several issues of just pure unacceptable poor workmanship.
The center roof control panel was not flush. Come to find out there was a broken clip and it needed to be replaced. They needed to keep my vehicle for two more day because part now needed to be ordered! You need to access the drain hose from inside rear wheel well. Skirt was not installed properly and screws were hanging out. Dirty foot prints inside of every door and minor scratches on sill plates where they stood to work on roof. Grease of every door handle. Grease hand prints on both corners of the hood. Had to put his hand on it every time he walked around the vehicle. Water on rear floor mat and B column. Marks on seats, console, dash, etc…
Glass plate of temp control panel was corrected but greasy fingerprints all over it. When I wiped them off I realized there were greasy fingerprints prints on the backside of the glass cover! So that needed to be removed again. I was told they would send it to the detail shop on Tuesday morning. This did not happen, if they did there is massive issues there as well!
When I picked it up on Wednesday at 5pm (3 days in shop) I walked out to the service garage area. Now I understand why! There are 9 tightly packed bays with lifts. Mostly GMC trucks and every bay is extremely dirty. It reminds me of an old Pepboys service area with a lot less space. If you can’t keep your shop clean and organized it just shows the workmanship you’re going to get out of it.
Just an FYI… I also own a Jeep and Fred Bean Jeep has worked on the vehicle several times. Always a perfect job. Their shop is bigger and much cleaner. I take too much pride in keeping the vehicles looking new to have a dealership trash it!
