The estimate provided quoted an engine that did not fit the vehicle, but was $500 more than the one that would. The prices for the parts were above Ford MSRP at a Ford Franchise. Also, the labor was quot the vehicle, but was $500 more than the one that would. The prices for the parts were above Ford MSRP at a Ford Franchise. Also, the labor was quoted as a Lump Sum and using the posted rate, amounted to twice the actual amount of time to perform the work. Also, having provide the results of the diagnostics from the first shop it was at, Cortese took an hour and a half to provide the same information. This was longer than it took for the non-Ford shop to determine the problem and provide the same solution (which was provided to Cortese). It does not appear to be the fault of the members of the service department, instead it is whoever handles the pricing in the system. Horrible experience. Very concerned with others having work done and not taking the time to verify that they are not being intentionally overcharged. We are still going to be in the market to purchase a new vehicle in the next six months, but after this experience it will not be a Ford or anything from any member of the Cortese group. More

Dropped my car off at 6:30am and went to pick up at 4pm. Not done until 5pm. I was told if needed at a certain time should of requested at time of making appointment. Would of been nice to know that. Excellent service, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Very poor policies regarding service bulletin associated issues. I had a Service Manager inspect the hood of my 2017 Ford Explorer to exam courteous. Very poor policies regarding service bulletin associated issues. I had a Service Manager inspect the hood of my 2017 Ford Explorer to examine extreme “white powder” bubbling on the front portion of the hood. He stated that Ford has covered the replacement of these hoods because it is a known defect. He later informed me that replacement of the hood would not be covered because my vehicle was beyond the replacement period. Further investigation on my part revealed that Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin (19-2026 – “Aluminum Panel Corrosion” issued 06 February 2019) which recommends panel replacement. It seems deceptive to me that Ford, knowing of the defect enough to issue a service bulletin, would not inform me of the defect earlier (All my service is conducted regularly at the dealer). It is extremely disappointing to me that Ford is not covering this defect which has been kept a secret (at least to their customers). I have been a devoted Ford customer for over 40 years, and I will likely not purchase another Ford product due to this experience. More
