My Review of Byers Toyota:
Overview:
I've dealt with many dealerships as I normally go through vehicles every 1 1/2 to 2 years and this is the best I have dealt with. I felt Mike and Bob were both honest and fair in dealing with me. All employees were courteous before (most importantly) and after I made my purchase. The dealership is also beautiful and clean. The professionalism of the staff and building lead me to believe the ownership of the dealership is committed to attracting and retaining customers. I am hopeful my experience after the purchase will be just as enjoyable.
Details:
I went in to the dealership knowing the car I wanted and wanting to trade in my vehicle. I was honest with Mike that I wanted the car and was willing to purchase immediately if I received a fair offer on my trade-in. They looked at my car and gave me an offer that I would say was reasonable and not insulting. However, I had some information which I believed justified a higher price so I gave it to them and then Bob (Assistant Manager) came over to discuss the trade-in value. After a relatively short discussion, we came to a quick compromise.
IMPORTANT: At no time during the discussion/negotiation did they attempt to push me or insult my intelligence. I would honestly consider it a "discussion" which occurred rather than "haggling".
Upon coming to an agreement, I went to the finance department to complete the transaction. They did not try to tack on any miscellaneous fees at the end either. They only charged tax, title and a $250 processing fee (which is pretty much an industry standard). They did offer an extended warranty, but were not at all pushy.
After the sale, the car was detailed and the gas tank was topped off.
I have no complaints about any steps in the process and HIGHLY recommend you at least give this dealership a chance to earn your business.
