Wantagh Mazda has proven to be an unethical dealership. I tried to avoid the typical high pressure sales tactics by purchasing a new Mazda CX-5 online. I tried emailing the sales department to request an out the door (OTD) price and got no response. I then tried emailing a specific salesman (Victor) and got a response written by a child: "vl714@wmazda.com> wrote:selling price 32870 tax 2835 35705 plus dmv only". So much for the praise about their professionalism. I was determined to purchase a specific CX-5 based on the configuration and price. Using the CarEdge website, I was able to determine the vehicle was on Wantagh Mazda's lot for approximately 153 days. Surely, they must be eager to move the vehicle. I was wrong. After failing to get any satisfaction from Joe B or Victor L, I decided to buy the vehicle through the Wantagh Mazda website. I was successful until the sales staff got involved. I received a completed "job sheet" or purchase order. I received an email from Joe B. (Internet Sales) stating "Now more than ever you need a dealer you can trust, and Wantagh Mazda is that dealer." Time to throw the xx flag! I then received a call from Joe S. (Concierge) informing me that due to an issue with Mazda, they couldn't sell me the vehicle at that price. Time to throw the xx flag again! It seems that Mazda was responsible for over building the options list and Wantagh Mazda couldn't (actually wouldn't) sell the vehicle at that price. I refuse to be pressured into buying add-ons and Wantagh Mazda can't gouge their customers without them. I followed the vehicle I was trying to purchase for weeks without any change to the listing. The day after the deal collapsed, the website still lists the vehicle exactly as I've seen it for weeks (search VIN JM3KFBCL0S0661739 Stock # 9162). This is a classic example of "bait and switch". Don't be blinded by the "hype", the praise you see in these reviews is propaganda to get you in the showroom for their sales tactics. AVOID WANTAGH MAZDA. As a previous customer, this isn't the same dealership I experienced years ago. More

Wantagh Mazda did it again! I have been leasing from Wantagh Mazda since 2007. I have been working with the same sales staff for almost 20 years now. I was able to spec out a CX-90 for my wife completely by phone. When the car was ready, I stopped down and signed some papers and I was out the door. Couldn't have been an easier experience! Recently I dealt with Craig Rotter and couldn't be happier. He was right on with the service price and there were no hidden charges. Wantagh Mazda is the only car dealership I have ever been to where I felt respected and treated like a person. Joe Bonavita is transparent, patient, honest, and clear from the jump. I purchased a Mazda CX-30 from them, and I have never been happier with a car purchase. When reviewing all the documents before purchasing a car, Joe was understanding and willing to go over all of the paperwork with me to ensure there were no errors or hidden fees. No pressure to purchase add ons, and was willing to work with me and negotiate in certain areas. If my other car were to break down tomorrow, I would buy another car from Wantagh Mazda. Not because I love Mazdas, but because the experience at Wantagh Mazda was hassle and worry free. Cars were sticker price; no scams or fake fees. More
