I started my car search in Mid-March and ordered a 2015 Volvo S60 with a little less than 51,000 miles on it through Carvana. After receiving an order confirmation via email. I then received multiple texts via the following days reassuring the delivery date of March 23rd. March 23rd came and no car. I reached out to Carvana, and they stated there was a glitch in their system that made the vehicle to be put back into their inventory, and another customer has started the purchasing process. After several attempts in asking them to put a halt to the other customer's purchasing process, Carvana instructed me to begin searching for another vehicle. After heavy reluctance, I found another car in their inventory (2015 Hyundai Sonota, less than 51,000 miles on it). This vehicle was to be delivered on April 5th but to no avail. I received a text message on April 4th stating a delay, and it will not arrive until April 12th. So I reached out to a co-worker who has a strong relationship with the Dean Team, and the co-worker reached out to Scott V. (GM). He introduced me to Brian J. Brian, and I talked on the phone, and during his CNA (client needs analysis), he discovered my price range and vehicle style. Brian called me and stated they have me set up for financing and come in for a test drive. Due to my tight schedule, I was only able to come in the next day, but Brian wasn't going to be there. Brian communicated with Scott V., and when I got to the dealership, he introduced me to Pat P. Pat provided me with the car Brian picked out for me, and my wife and I went on a 30-minute test drive. I was very impressed with the 2018 Volvo S60, but the color wasn't me, and the monthly note was more than what I wanted. Pat P. went to work, and we test drove a 2016 Volvo S60 inscription platinum with 37,000 miles on it, with the color I wanted. That's when Grant G. (financing person) came into play. Grant G. performed a few magic tricks and got the payment within my budget. I am writing this review with the same model car that was to be delivered on March 23rd, which's a year newer and with 13,000 miles less, sitting in my driveway. Found this car online and Pat made it super easy to buy it from out of town. He answered all my questions promptly and I spent less than an hour at the dealership doing a test drive and paperwork. it from out of town. Pat Pyle was great to work with. We are very happy with our purchase. Pat was super nice and knowledgeable. Pat Pyle is by far the worst salesperson I have ever met. Dean team is legitimately losing money by keeping him on staff. This dealership is quite literally the only dealership in stl with the car I want. Pat Pyle was so awful I've decided if I am going to purchase that car, I'm getting it through carvana. On our first meeting, I told him what I felt the car was worth based on blue book and what was available nationwide through Edmunds and carvana. He immediately shut the conversation down at the earliest point of negotiations by saying 'we negotiate in hundreds, not thousands.' Which, I understand, however, pick up the bait and bring your butt to the negotiating table! But, no, he just shut down and it became clear the price was what it was. On our second meeting, they had reduced the price down to closer to market value. I told him I was likely to came back and purchase the vehicle within the next 2 weeks. I would like the vehicle to be completely charged and would give him a heads up. Later that week, I get an email from pat saying that I'm not answering his emails, his calls and I have yet to test drive the car he's got a "great deal" for me. I reply back that we've met twice and talked on the phone once and what was the great deal? No reply. Another few days go by and I get another mass produced email saying the Honda clarity (of which there's only this one in all of stl) is their best selling fastest selling car and I need to come in right away before it's gone. At that point, I'd had it. I've worked in big ticket retail sales for over a decade, if you're putting this guy out to represent your company, you obviously don't want business. More
