My Review of Toyota and Scion of Wallingford:
My car is serviced here. I worked with the top people. Gloria in finance had
all my paper work ready, respected my wishes and didn't pressure me. Bill was
a gentleman and when I pushed him to ask for a better price he did. Steve Jr.
was courteous and wanted to provide me with a good experience. Jay did try to rationalize his price and used his sales speal, but backed off when I called him
on his speech, respected my opinion and worked with steve to give me a price I could live with. His drama was cute. I have come here for service for 6 years and I felt they wanted to keep my business. Of course since I was older and this is my 8th car, I am also wiser in my negotiation skills and am not the
easiest person. Based on consumer reports and the Kelley blue book, I felt I got a
good price, fair deal and came away happy with my decision and giving them my business.
The service office has been accomodating over the last 6 years. When their was an
error in charge that didn't include the coupon I handed in, Karen made it right in
a timely fashion. Bob, casey and Kate have all helped me with service. The location,
having a loaner available, their willingness to give me coupon or the 10 % discount with a coupon has been great. If I forgot the coupon, or had an old one, they
honored it due to my history as a customer. they made the replacement of my tire
worry free and handled the warrantee well.
I have been two other times to this dealership, exploring buying a car, this is the
first time, I felt they didn't try to high pressure me and really wanted to give me the best deal. Of all the times I have dealt with the financial people, Gloria
treated me with the most respect and no hard sales. Bill was low key and I felt that
steve having him work with me rather than a neophite and recognizing I was referred by
the service department, insured my having a good experience. Although, Jay
sales managers role trying to justify his price, he treated me with respect,
was a gentleman and good humored and with my holding firm, met my needs graciously.
Lastly, the receipt of my car was impressive, the car was immaculate with a new
coat of paint. It was the best dealer prep of a used car, I have ever received
