I’ve been coming here since I moved to the valley and have always found the experience just okay, but the past few visits have really pushed me away as a customer. Every time I come in for a covered (alr have always found the experience just okay, but the past few visits have really pushed me away as a customer. Every time I come in for a covered (already paid-for) service, I’m met with high-pressure upselling for additional services. I understand the value of preventative maintenance, but the guilt-tripping tactics—implying that I don’t care about my vehicle just because I can’t drop $1,000 on the spot—are incredibly inappropriate. I had planned to space out services over the coming months to better manage the cost, but the tone of the staff made me feel judged for that decision. That’s not the kind of interaction I want when taking care of my vehicle. On top of that, the service appointment was quoted at about 2 hours and ended up taking nearly 4—with no update at all during that time. To make matters worse, even though I confirmed the correct phone number at check-in, updates were being sent to a different number. I only found out the car was ready when I had my husband call to check because I felt I was being ignored. As soon as he called, the car was suddenly ready—coincidence? No. Even though I still have some covered services remaining through Toyota, I’ve decided not to return. I’ll either go back to Longo, where I’ve had great experiences in the past, or find a local mechanic I can actually trust. More
I love this place, the people who work there and the services they provide. Have been going for over a decade. The ONLY thing that bums me out is that they recently decided to no longer accept American services they provide. Have been going for over a decade. The ONLY thing that bums me out is that they recently decided to no longer accept American Express for payment. I run my business through my Amex - which includes the Prius they service - and it doesn't sit well with me that they'd make it harder for their customers to pay the way they'd like. This is of course a management decision; the service people are top rate, especially Paul, who is full of good information, clearly explained, and who goes the extra distance to take care of my car.
