Nice Shopping Experience at Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville We had a nice overall experience with the team at Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville. Our first interaction was with Darla who handled my wife's questions We had a nice overall experience with the team at Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville. Our first interaction was with Darla who handled my wife's questions and was flexible about us change our meeting appointment which we appreciated. Our second interaction was Thomas Clarke who was our sales person the duration of the purchase experience. Thomas was up front and answered our many questions about the Hyundai Kona and another car of interest. He was on point with collecting our requirements and offering different suggestions. His knowledge of the cars was superb and his demeanor was very friendly and helpful. While there was a little wait between preparation and finance, Thomas respected our time and started on the delivery check list to ensure we were fully knowledge of how to setup, configure and operate the vehicle. Thomas made sure the car was prepped and fueled. Our finance interaction was with Angel Cooper who was friendly and helpful and answered our questions about the contract and the various after-sale items. Lack of Communication We scheduled an appointment for 7AM on Wed, 29 July for AC work. After waiting nearly all day for a call from the service dept, we tried to contact s We scheduled an appointment for 7AM on Wed, 29 July for AC work. After waiting nearly all day for a call from the service dept, we tried to contact service during the late afternoon. After multiple attempts, we finally learned that our vehicle would need to remain at the dealer while waiting for parts. We were told that the parts would arrive on Thursday and the service would be completed on Friday. Again, we waited all day Friday for any communication from service about the status of our vehicle. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get through to the service dept, we finally asked the main receptionist (Dawn) who we could contact. Dawn immediately went to the service dept to find out the status of our vehicle. Dawn was able to tell us that it would not be finished until Sat and told us that she would check again on Sat morning. When I checked back on Sat during late morning, Dawn immediately recognized my number and went to the service dept to check the status of the vehicle. I was told it would be ready by the end of the day. When I checked again about 60min before closing, Dawn immediately recognized my number again and checked on my car. Finally about 20min before closing, the service dept contacted me to again tell me the vehicle would not be ready, We were finally able to pick up our vehicle on Monday. Although the length of time for the repair seemed excessive, the real problem we had with our experience was the lack of communication from the service dept. It doesn't seem like it should be the primary receptionist's job to hunt down the service rep to get information on a customer's vehicle repair. Our kudos to Dawn for her willingness to help us. She really showed the level of service that a customer would hope to experience. More
