Purchased a car from them in May 2025. I was turning in a Jeep lease 2 months early and getting a new Hyundai lease. The dealership royally messed up the Jeep turn in and nearly cost us over $10k in early turn in fees. Fortunately at the time, the GM Maurice helped us out and rectified the situation. He also promised us he would cover any fees that arose from the situation if Jeep ended up charging us. Fast forward to today, and we received mail that our Jeep account is 250 days overdue from an unpaid fee, a fee that Maurice promised he would cover for us. I have been trying to contact Maurice for nearly two weeks now. I have his direct phone number that I have left multiple voicemails on. I have left a message with a salesman to have him call me. I have left a message with Kevin Cary, a sales manager, to have him call me. I have emailed the dealership. I am being completely ignored. It's a real disappointment that they are not honoring their commitments to me and are trying to avoid me instead of speak with me. I cannot recommend this dealership. FINAL UPDATE: It took having to contact the Antwerpen VP of Operations to get this resolved, but he was very courteous and apologetic. He reviewed my documents and determined that the dealership did in fact owe me money per our signed contract. I am extremely grateful to him. However, I still cannot recommend this dealership. Maurice Mitchell was very disappointing in the way he handled this, especially when he began ignoring my calls and emails. I had to call him from a different number to get him to answer, at which point he told me there was nothing he could do. He couldn't even bother to apologize to me after his boss confirmed he was wrong. Stay away from Antwerpen Hyundai as long as current management is in charge. They will try to stiff you and not honor their contracts. More

I’m writing to share my recent experience with Antwerpen Hyundai in Catonsville, Nov 7, where I encountered several unprofessional practices that ultimately led to a breach of our agreement. In September, I visited Antwerpen Hyundai looking to purchase a specific vehicle. Although the car wasn’t in stock, the dealership assured me they could get it and committed to honoring our negotiated terms. I went through the full purchase process, including a credit check, price negotiation, and signing an agreement outlining the price, payments, and terms—even though the vehicle was not physically present. I trusted I’d be notified once the car arrived and that the original terms would be upheld. However, I received no follow-up. When I checked the dealership’s website in November, I found the vehicle was now available. I returned to Antwerpen with my agreement, expecting to complete the purchase at the terms we had agreed on. Unfortunately, management (Maurice) informed me they would no longer honor the agreement. They provided various excuses and implied that my actions somehow showed a lack of commitment to the purchase. After some discussion, they agreed to honor the original terms only if I paid additional fees for a vehicle with the same specifications, though it lacked one optional feature. I reluctantly agreed, expecting the main terms of our original agreement to stay the same. Yet I kept encountering discrepancies, including mismatched prices and VIN numbers, along with unexpected additional fees. Finally, when I moved to the financing stage, the price, monthly payments, and interest rate had changed yet again. This experience has left me feeling that management was trying to subtly inflate the cost beyond our initial agreement. Their approach involved evasive explanations and, at times, efforts to undermine my understanding of the financial terms and the car buying process. While I’m disappointed with management’s conduct (Maurice). I do want to recognize my salesperson, Christopher Davis,for his professionalism and support. He was a positive presence during an otherwise frustrating experience. Overall, I’m deeply dissatisfied with the lack of transparency and professionalism displayed by the management at Antwerpen Hyundai in Catonsville, and I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this location without significant improvements in their practices. Extremely slow customer service and response time. Called and chatted with the service rep multiple times over a week to get my SUV serviced for a recall notice. Never received a call back to setup an appointment even after leaving my contact info on their voicemail. After 4 or 5 attempts, I was finally able to make an appointment. When I picked up my SUV, I found a leftover parts box, trash and a plastic cover in my backseat. I'm not sure if this was part of the original broken plastic part or something that should have been installed. More
