Amazing experience - MUST READ I went to Sullivan Buick GMC yesterday as a last resort. We bought a 2010 Acadia from them in February of 2016. It was a car we loved, but as it was a I went to Sullivan Buick GMC yesterday as a last resort. We bought a 2010 Acadia from them in February of 2016. It was a car we loved, but as it was at the top of our budget and was being sold as is, we chose not to buy a warranty (never again). As you might expect with an 8 year old car, there were several repairs that we needed to make, and this last one, a bad timing chain, was way more than we could afford. We were quoted over $2000 with parts & labor. It was not Sullivan's responsibility to fix the car, but I went there yesterday to see if by some miracle there was an extended manufacturer warranty for this issue. I spoke to Dan and told him my issue and his response was not at all what I expected. He told me that either they would see what they could do about helping with repairs for the car, or if possible, get me out of the Acadia and into something newer. I had been at Carmax earlier that same day, and they told me there was absolutely no way they could roll over my existing balance into even the cheapest car they had on the lot. So when Dan mentioned that as an option, I didn't want to get my hopes up. Long story long, we worked with Chris who was incredibly patient with my jabber-jaw toddler sidekick and with my mild hysteria and weepiness over what a mess this car situation had been for us. I could not believe it, and still can't, but we left Sullivan in a car that was 5 years newer, had 75k miles LESS than the Acadia and is in near perfect condition (with a bumper to bumper warranty). Our payment is marginally higher than what we were paying for the Acadia, but for a car in this condition when we had zero other options, we gladly accepted that. I am still in shock by the way that Dan & Chris went out of their way to get us in a functional & reliable family car and make our car woes completely disappear. I cannot thank this dealership enough for what they have done for my family! More
