Retired teachers, Stay Away!!!!!! Just picked up our 2019 Chevy Traverse a few days ago. Our salesperson was Joseph. I cant say enough good things about Joseph. He was respectful an Just picked up our 2019 Chevy Traverse a few days ago. Our salesperson was Joseph. I cant say enough good things about Joseph. He was respectful and very honest with us. Because of Joseph, we decided to proceed with the lease. Joseph is truly an asset to this dealership. Also, Jim was most helpful and for that we are very appreciative. All of the good things I stated about Joseph & Jim do not apply to the dealership. We asked about a credit for teachers. My husband is retired after teaching 30+ years. He currently works for a tutoring agency teaching g homebound students from Sayville UFSD, Bayport UFSD & Pat-Med UFSD. They asked for a paystub which we provided. This discount would have saved us $15 a month on our lease. We arrived to sign the papers for the lease & sat with Joseph as we turned in our old lease. We were then told to sit with Kenny, the finance person. Kenny informed us (5 minutes before we were to sign for our new lease) that we would not get this education credit because my husband was retired and the would not recognize his current teaching assignments. He was ver apologetic and said he would speak with the managers sitting in the booth. These faceless people have no interaction with the customers. They decided that we were not entitled to the credit and that was that! $15 a month is not going to make it break anyone but I can tell you that for the next 35 months everytime we pay our lease, we will think about how he was refused this credit. We live in a retirement community and many of our friends are retired teachers. What a slap in the face! It's pretty pathetic that a few individuals dictate to others and have them do the "dirty work" of taking advantage of senior citizens who have served their professions proudly. Very, very disappointed in Atlantic Chevy in Bayshore. UPDATE: Dealer said it was GM who will deny this credit. After speaking with GM, I was told that the dealership approves or disapproves the credit. So the bottom line is Atlantic would rather have a customer leave unhappy over a $500 credit! More

DISGUSTING!!!!! Atlantic Chevrolet...Cannot begin to describe how horrible and disrespectful this dealership is. I don’t know how they can even say they have a Servic Atlantic Chevrolet...Cannot begin to describe how horrible and disrespectful this dealership is. I don’t know how they can even say they have a Service Department. A 2017 Silverado that’s going on it’s 3rd Transmission. When truck was dropped off, was clean in and out. Picked up a dirty truck, both in and out. Picked up a truck that had a message come up about a problem with steering assist. Service Writer informed me that “the valet didn’t tell me about that” Within a week and a half,, the trans was dying again. The transmission wasn’t replaced with a new unit. It’s been REBUILT by an independent shop!!! Trying to discuss the issue with the Atlantic Chevrolet Service Department has yielded nothing but being ignored. Atlantic employees just don’t care, don’t return phone calls. Only bright spot in that whole horror show of a dealership is Bob Imber, the gentleman who sold me the truck. More

SCAM SERVICE DEPT - DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE Third time attempting to have my 2018 Traverse serviced and was beyond disappointed. While waiting over 3 hours to have my oil change and inspection Third time attempting to have my 2018 Traverse serviced and was beyond disappointed. While waiting over 3 hours to have my oil change and inspection done, with an appointment, I watched the Service dept. sales team push the "problem of the month". I watched as they attempted to charge a rotation of customers in the waiting room for "throttle body cleaning" telling customers it "MUST be done." Not only is this an unnecessary service as it should only be done on cars that don't idle correctly, they were charging over $200.00 for it for a 10 minute spray cleaning for any DIY-er. If not infuriating enough, what should have been a service for a simple oil change and inspection turned into the sales team and manager telling me that I had a power steering fluid leak and would also need my air filters replaced (which I had done the air filters myself less than a week ago) Manager and sales team were INSISTENT that my truck would not pass inspection with out it. The estimated total for services being in the $700 - 1,000 !!! When I then INSISTED that they show me the leak and made them aware the filters had just been changed, they began to back pedal. They down played the severity of the service and MIRACULOUSLY were able to pass my inspection. They quickly then tried to send me on my way, but not before removing the customer service feedback card from my final bill. The feedback card that they usually love to make sure I complete, of course with all 5's. They are running scam after scam on customers who don't know any better. Overcharging for simple and routine maintenance and attempting to up-sell customers on services they don't need and aren't required. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! More
