The history of Audi Hoffman Estates started off as Schaumburg Audi in 1990. When our current president and owner, who had worked for Audi of America for over a decade, purchased the rights for the Audi franchise from O’hare Porsche-Audi and opened the first exclusive (stand alone) Audi dealership in the United States (at the time 320 W Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL). The original Schaumburg Audi building lasted from 1990-2001 when in the same location a new “hangar style” design building was completed to comply with the latest Audi regulations. Our newest facility opened on July 1, 2013 as Audi Hoffman Estates at 1200 W. Golf Road, Hoffman Estates IL.

Audi has an update for the transmission that may or may not fix the transmission issue but will only run it on my car for $400.00. Updates should be put on the car for free, like a recall. How long could it take someone to run an update?

I most definitely did not have a 5 star experience. My car was there a full day longer than it had to be. If someone, Mike or anyone else, that knew there was an upset customer calling and texting messages all afternoon with no return call until I spoke to McKala who was very nice and understanding and promised to finally get someone to pick up their phone and talk to me. I had to get mad at Mike and point out his contradictions and sarcasm to finally get him to change his attitude and get you to go on a drive with me and my husband, in which you did verify the issue with the transmission. At least you didn't say "it's just an Audi thing" as I was told at my previous visit when the car was still under warranty. Then you very kindly found an update which was great but then wanted $400 to do something as easy as running an update that may or may not take care of the problem. I would have been the happiest 5 star reviewer if you would have at least tried to fix it with the update. I would think customer's would be notified of anything that would make the car better in any way at all so they would have the best functioning car possible. Audi's name is on it. There was an update made for some reason. Audi wouldn't send out a survey if someone didn't care if they had an unhappy customer especially that could have been eaisly avoided. I would only give 2 stars and that's only because of Lucaz and McKala. Management of the service department would not receive any stars. I had to fight my way through 2 days and it wasted my time when I could have been working, and my husband's time for getting me there and back. This is just my honest review.
