Hi Caroline, It's Bob from Auto Direct Cars. I wanted to respond to your comment. You had purchased a CarFax Certified 1 Owner Subaru January 4th 2020. At the time of purchase, we had spent several hours reviewing the sale of your 2014 Subaru. Both you and your father spent a good bit of time reviewing the car. Also at the time of purchase, we honored our internet price of $14,990, which you had commented was a fair price for the vehicle. We also mentioned that the car was eligible for certification. We reviewed the Certification plan with coverage, term and conditions. Both you and your father had decided to purchase Auto Direct Certification. We reviewed the terms and conditions which increased the selling price of the vehicle on the purchase agreement from $14,990 to $16,990. You had also chose to buy an extended service contract, which included Preferred Warranty base plan for 3 years at an agreed price of $3500. Every customer is responsible to pay costs for taxes, tags, mv and doc. These charges are separate from the actual purchase of the vehicle. You personally spoke to me several times regarding different questions and concerns, you also mentioned to me your car passed NJ State Inspection. I suggested to you to take your vehicle to Pepboys which you did. Pepboys mentioned to you, there was either a open recall or an open bulletin. You then proceeded to take your car to Subaru dealership in Arkansas. We received a copy of the service invoice from the Subaru Dealership in Arkansas, and I have spoken to the service adviser that assisted you. You had asked them to check to check out the car for any open recalls and bulletins. The dealership acknowledged there was an open recall, which Subaru took full responsibility and proceeded to make any necessary repairs for that recall. They also checked to see if there was a bulletin for your specific year and model Subaru. They reported there was no bulletin for your car, however there was a bulletin for a 2010 Subaru. You had also mentioned to the Subaru Dealer to top off your fluids as the service repair states. They found no evidence of any concerns, when topping off your fluids and checking for any oil leaks. You had mentioned your brakes were making a grinding noise and in fact the dealership found that you needed brakes and rotors. You drove your car across the country and put approximately 7,000 miles on your vehicle. Break wear is determined by mileage and drive-ability. During this trip, you never mentioned to me the car broke down or didn't start. The Subaru Dealer documented through the service invoice that we have indicated your vehicle is in good working order and determined there were no other concerns aside from brake repairs and topping off your fluids, and a recall that was performed. Most importantly, we certainly appreciate all your time and efforts vested in the servicing of your vehicle. I sincerely appreciate your business please call me to discuss your brake job performed.
