Hello Mr./Mrs. Berlage, I have reviewed the information that I was provided on your service visit. As this is related to a glass roof panel that had shattered on your vehicle we always need to inspect the intricate parts for the sliding roof panel to confirm what is likely needed to repair the damage. At times we may be able to replace just the glass panel and clean the broken glass, at other times the broken glass could damage the plastic parts in the sliding roof mechanism. You were given an estimate on the worst case scenario as you had not allowed our technicians to perform the inspection to determine the repairs needed and you had chosen to have this repaired outside of the dealership.

Nobody mentioned this quote being a worst case scenario or an inspection. The discrepancy seems fraudulent. To protect other customers from similar treatment, I’m considering contacting the BBB, FCC and our attorney general Next week. Your response does not address the fact that I called and left a detailed voice mail, received a text from service 2 days later promising a call, called another 2 days later with another detailed account with a request for appointment confirmation, and called again another 2 days later and was promised a return call after feedback from parts. Not once did I actually get a call and today when I came in after a while week I had to go through everything again, the service manager implied I may not tell the truth and emphasized that BMW would not cover anything - something I didn’t even ask. This is a car that I bought new at your dealership and serviced there before. Unfathomable treatment beginning to end.

Chris had provided you a quote for either the entire sliding assembly replacement or the replacement of the glass panel. Even if we were just needed to replace the glass panel we would need to drop the headliner and inspect the frame and at least clean the glass pieces out of the frame/tracks to assure that any of there pieces wouldn't cause any damage to these parts in the future. We have to stand by our work and insist on the process to include this step that wasn't likely performed where they replaced your glass.
