The car purchasing experience at BMW of Sarasota was awful. BMW had an ad for a low ball price on a vehicle that no dealers have in stock in order to drive customers to the dealership, and the dealer t awful. BMW had an ad for a low ball price on a vehicle that no dealers have in stock in order to drive customers to the dealership, and the dealer then “baits and switches” and charges many thousands more more for a vehicle with a base price only $2000 higher. Everything possible is done to confuse the buyer and make it difficult for them to see what a bad deal they are actually getting. I asked to have the deal for the new vehicle and my trade in kept completely separate but they refused to do that, generating a “deal sheet” that was impossible to make sense of.Some of the additional unspeakably high additional charges they dreampt up were charged twice rather than once; my deposit was $5000 yet I was only given credit for $4100. I’ve owned many cars and 3 BMW’s and this car purchasing experience was unspeakably bad and in a class unto its self compared with all the others. I will never buy another vehicle from this sleazy dealer and would recommend that others avoid it like the plague! There are other BMW dealers within driving range that are much better! More
Did not cover a serious driver seat restraint issue only a few miles after the last service due to just 2 months after warranty ran out- car was not used during that time! I had 4 tires installed with alignment. Service was very good as expected. I had to remind my advisor about the rebate few times, but it was all resolved at the end.
