Walked in to service dept try to book a service Appt. At least 10 people rushed by me in various manner… not one person said hello, asked if I need help, no one at the service check in desk, very unfrien At least 10 people rushed by me in various manner… not one person said hello, asked if I need help, no one at the service check in desk, very unfriendly store. Went inside to try and find someone to help me, same thing. I finally went to rental car agent and he booked my appt for me. I was there waiting for about 15 min just to get help before I asked the car rental guy. They need customer service skills. No one should walk by any customer in a BMW store without saying hello, or I’ll get someone to help you, etc. if they come in any contact with a guest in their store. Wonder how many sales this costs them a year? Very poor customer skills by everyone in that department except for the very young girl that ended up checking me in on my next day appointment checkin.. Many people had the opportunity to just recognize that a customer was in their drive. This is supposed to be a high end dealership. I would never expect this type of service unless I was at Walmart. Deplorable . Would not recommend any of my friends to go here. Very very different from the amazing service I’ve had in Ocala BMW. Too bad they are so far from Sarasota, but moving forward it appears they are worth the hour and a half drive. I never ever met my service advisor during my oil change. I got a text introducing himself, and was directed to sit in service waiting, and he would come and get me when my car was done In 1.5 hrs . Two and a half hours later I get a text stating that when I return to the dealership, my car was ready. I texted back stating I never left and thought he was coming ti get me… no response. This company does not care at all about their customers I paid the cashier and never did see my service guy. I told them my battery key fob needed to be replaced. When I got in my car, it was never replaced. I texted the same invisible service advisor, who swore he changed it. And that it must be a bad fob. Again, never came out to talk to me. Then I went to cashier and asked her to change it, she went to parts, got and changed the battery and it worked perfectly. Why would someone lie about something so stupid? Actually, the girl cashier was the only one that was helpful in any way. She was lovely and tried hard to make me happy during my actual service appt. Do better Sarasota BMW. Top notch car, bottom of the ladder service experience overall. I wanted to find out how long my warranty was, and if I still had any oil change benefits left. I was sent to finance cause no one knew the answer. She looked it up and told me I had 3/36 on oil changes. But her attitude also was cold and was as if she was being bothered to answer my questions. I wonder Is this a management problem? Do they all hate their jobs here? Seems like it. Sad place. More

Went for recall service and it was so bad it verged on criminal activity. Tried to upsell me to the tune of over $6000 in unnecessary repairs beyond the recalls and I refused all add on attempts. After waiting 3 hours there, they said my just fine battery was now so dead it couldn't even be jumped and it would be $640 to replace. Awfully ironic it chose to go dead in your care when it was fine and the tech started it to take it to service bay. I told them to try charging it overnight and let me know if it starts in the morning…also said it was a scam and I’ll take it up with GM and I’ll want my battery back if it needs replacing to test and charge it myself…. Next morning it started and worked fine at dealership… I avoided their traps… If they are in the scam business which clearly is the case they suck at it. Should have stuck to their dead battery story but got scared when I asked for my battery to test. On my way home I noticed that if the battery was so dead and they pulled it out as they said... the clock and programmed radio stations would have to be reset but they were intact proving the battery was never dead. It was a final ditch effort to gouge me. Then they had the gall to charge me $63 for an inspection I never asked them to do. This business commits grand larceny on mostly elderly on a daily basis and I fully intend to share these sentiments with BMW American corporate office because it's got to stop More

I received an email indicating that I was due for an oil change. I called the service advisor and left a message. When I did not hear back, I made an appointment online. I then heard from service, who made change. I called the service advisor and left a message. When I did not hear back, I made an appointment online. I then heard from service, who made me an appointment for an earlier date. Both times I indicated that my sunroof was not working. I also put this in the kiosk when I arrived. When the service was completed and I picked up my vehicle, the sunroof had not been repaired. I left the car and they repaired the sunroof. Your system for scheduling repairs obviously needs improvement. More
