rip off I gave one star for the dishonest of the finance manager Jason, and I am angry for losing over 3000 USD bc I already signed the lease when I was tired I gave one star for the dishonest of the finance manager Jason, and I am angry for losing over 3000 USD bc I already signed the lease when I was tired, hungry and out of my mind at 9pm on a after-work Friday. When signing the lease, I was not informed that my old car trade in was calculated in the total amount which is 1700. I consulted with Bryce about a lease of a 2018 wrangler jl sport s, MSRP at 41k. I had a verbal deal with him (0 down, 39 months of 405/ month) (including tx and other fees). And I was told depends on my credit the actual payment would up/down a little which I totally understand. Then when the finale manager Jason talk to me, the price goes up to 550/ month, because of my immigration status. Only Chrysler bank can lend me money at a “aggressive rate”. I have a credit score of 700+ without history of car/house loan. I negotiated. He agreed to pay interests up front (2000) and then 450/ month for 39 month. Pre-contract total amount 405x 39=15795 Actual contract total amount 2000(interest)+ 450x39= 19550 The difference is 3755 The reason I can not shake this off is the interest is too high, 2000/ (19550-2000)=11.4% . It is really high for me (credit score of 700+); and Jason him self told me I would have a rate of 7-9% bank interest if I buy a car. If you do the math, NYS tx is 8.75%, then the real leasing price is 17550/ 1.085= 16175 The actual residual value of 1- 16175/ 41000= 60.5% For our price agreed upon earlier 405/ month for 39 month, assume the intrest is 5%, the lease price is 405x39/ interst(1.05)NYS tax (1.0875)= 13832, the pre-contract residual value if 1-13832/41000= 66.2% I lost my grounds on both interests rate and residual value, and I have not pulled the actually selling price yet. Who would lease a sport s at a residual value of 60.5%??? That’s a RUBICAN price. Who would take a interest rate of 11% when they have credit score of 700+? Who would not realize when offered the price, the trade in was not even mentioned at all? Only an idiot like me who is tired and hungry after work would do such thing. I do love my 2018 wrangler unlimited. But I can not fall into sleep the night I got this car and I felt I have to share this experience. STAY AWAY from this dealership. More
