Rarely do I take the time to write a review, but the customer service from Charlie Silva at Bellingham Ford was the best I’ve experienced in my 25 years as a Ford customer. Right off the bat, he was fr customer service from Charlie Silva at Bellingham Ford was the best I’ve experienced in my 25 years as a Ford customer. Right off the bat, he was friendly and pleasant. A pleasure to talk with, rather than most other Ford service department people who greet you, but give off an impression of “ho hum”. I explained the issue with our car, that it was a 2019 EcoSport with 19,000 miles and it was leaking fluid from the engine. Lots of fluid. Each day it left a 12” circle under the car. Charlie took a genuine interest and assured me that they would get to the bottom of it. I also explained that we needed a loaner car because public transit doesn’t reach our work location and we couldn’t miss work. Additionally, there was a shortage of rental cars in Bellingham. So, we were stuck. A car engine that leaked fluid and no alternate transportation to get to work. At first, there were no loaners available, but Charlie assured me he was determined to find a way to help. I really appreciated that because this was a very concerning situation. Over the years of owning various Fords, service department people usually treat you like just another number; get you in and get you out. Charlie is a sincere, friendly, and respectful person who was a true pleasure to work with, despite my Ford-quality concerns about our engine leaking. Never have I had a Ford do this, and I’ve owned Expeditions, Explorers, Escapes, and now an EcoSport. Charlie worked with the mechanic, Ryan, to help explain to me precisely what was going on. They were both great, with a clear and knowledgeable explanation of the issue, and what would be done to fix it. Charlie worked on a solution for a loaner, which took a few days, but he made it happen (which I really appreciate!). He followed up with various phone calls to keep me updated, and a call afterwards to let me know how everything worked out. Over a number of days, his communication and follow-up skills were excellent. Other Ford service departments should take a lesson from him in overall genuine service. He sets a great example of customer service and Bellingham Ford is lucky to have him representing their brand! More

3 hours labor at $150. /hr. to change a thermostat on a 1995 E-150? took two days to get the thermostat for a 351 engine... Charged another 3 hours/$450. to diagnose sof /hr. to change a thermostat on a 1995 E-150? took two days to get the thermostat for a 351 engine... Charged another 3 hours/$450. to diagnose soft brakes/brake ABS light stays on...part to fix is no longer available, so they flushed the brake system, which did help... I don't mind paying, but that is something I could have done at home in 30 minutes, not three hours. I spoke to the service guy and complained...saying this was BS...all he could say was "I know". Friendly folks, but they took me to teh cleaners. More
