I could give zero stars on this review I would. Brought my 18 Trax to Berger service because they could get me in the same day my car broke down. Biggest mistake ever! They diagnosed it with a blown turbo my 18 Trax to Berger service because they could get me in the same day my car broke down. Biggest mistake ever! They diagnosed it with a blown turbo even though there was a lifter knock also. They replaced the turbo then stated the whole engine was bad and they didn’t realize it until after the turbo was on. TOWED my vehicle to another shop for a second opinion and they stated it’s well documented that when the turbo goes on the 1.4L engines, it causes internal damage to the engine and my whole engine would need to be replaced. Contacted Berger about getting a refund and returning the turbo and they advised since the vehicle left the parking lot they could not accept the return. In speaking to Jeff the manager, he told me they couldn’t return it due to it already being installed. Regardless, they told me conflicting stories about their return policy and they didn’t research the issues with my vehicle before just changing the turbo. Common sense says if a vehicle has a knock, there’s something more going on. I will never buy another Chevy again (and I was an avid GM girl) and I will never take a vehicle to Berger. More
Service department is a complete rip off. They charged me even though they were not able to fix anything. Their quote to eventually fix my car was outrageous. Poor Customer Service I called many dealerships to get estimates to unlock (anti theft lock) my 2012 Acadia radio that I replaced. Berger was the cheapest with $26-100 est I called many dealerships to get estimates to unlock (anti theft lock) my 2012 Acadia radio that I replaced. Berger was the cheapest with $26-100 estimate with guy saying it would be on the lower side. They were an hour away so I called again to confirm the price and make an appointment. When I showed up the service guy said it would be $118 (their hourly rate). I explained the original quote. He went back to talk to the scheduler and came back and said yes that was the quote they have on their estimate sheet. But again said it would be $118. He said he didn't want me to leave upset so he would talk to his manager. He came back and again said it was $118. I left and went to Superior Buick in Battle Creek since their estimate was $55-100. I was in an out in 30 minutes and it cost $55. UPDATE 8/5/19 Standing by my one star rating. Berger responded and gave me a phone number to call (not a name) so they can discuss the one star review. I called the number and got the operator. I asked for the Service Manager so she put me thru and I got voicemail. I called back, explained the reason I am calling and asked if there was someone else I was supposed to be talking to. She said there was another service manager, so she forwarded me to them. Again, voicemail. I called the operator back the third time and she said I should leave a voice mail and someone will call me back. I said I wasn't going to do that and that I was going to write another bad review. she said "SUPER". Again poor customer service. If I was given a name and knew the person had read my review and that this wasn't just an automated response I might be willing to leave a message. I don't want to talk to a random person that doesn't know why I am calling. I think they are gaming the review process. If I didn't log back in to see the message my review would be deleted. Not sure what they expect to get out of this. My radio is fixed and it was only $55 by a much better Dealership More

Failed to diagnose and fix charging system problem I already answered one of these Berger surveys. Essentially, as I explained in more detail last time, they failed to do what was needed to re-flash t I already answered one of these Berger surveys. Essentially, as I explained in more detail last time, they failed to do what was needed to re-flash the two modules necessary to make the hybrid charging system. The result was the 12v battery did not charge and car died again about 10 miles after I left dealership. At that point I found somebody else, who charged me to do what Berger did, but figured out the problem, re-flashed the modules and fixed the problem. More
