I was looking at a 2023 Honda Acoord Hybrid in Janaury 2026. I found one close to the price I wanted to spend and went to look at it. Joseph Grzelak was my salesman and he was awesome. He knew the vehicle well and showed me the important features. During the test drive he exlpained how to get the most fuel effeciuency out of the vehicle. Then it came to dealing. I refused to pay for their $1200 anti-theft, and ended up postponing the deal. Then Joseph told me not to leave and had me wait at the front door because the sales manager, Mena Karas, wanted to speak to me. Mena came up, shook my hand, dropped the offer on the counter and said "Lets make a deal." So I was open to it and asked him to "deal." He pushed that he already made a deal by removing the anti-theft/tracking fee and my rebuttle was that it is not my responsibility to pay for their security... also, I said what "deal" is he trying to make since he won't even take a penny off of the price of a 3 year old vehicle that they bought from auction. They also never provided me with service records, carfax, etc. Come to find out, that same vehicle has been for sale since Sept 2025 at the previous dealership and since Dec 5, 2025, at Bill Kay Honda. Mena Karas refused to hear anymore and, I was more than appalled at his arrogant behavior. So I turned to the salesman, Joe, and told him his manager just lost him a sale and customer. As I was walking out, my conversation with Mena got a little heated as the SALES MANAGER told me to leave and not come back. I had my words back for him too, NGL lol. So I won't be. As much as I liked that car, the market at this time of posting is flooded with Accords. I'll find mine elsewhere. More

New CRV less than 30 miles transmission needs replaced. No transmission available going on 3rd week dealer will not trade us out of it without us absorbing depreciation. The best car buying experience my husband or I have ever had! We drove nearly 4 hours one way to get our car from them, because the price was the best we had seen anywhere. I was worried/hesitant that the price would be competitive, but that they would make up for it with a bunch of add-on fees at the end, as I have seen done at many other dealers. I was so pleased to find out that was not the case at all! Bert was very friendly and helpful. Never once pushy, and completely transparent. If you reach out to them, make sure you request Bert! We arrived at 12:30, and were driving off the lot in our new car just before 3pm. You can’t beat that! More
We were shopping for a 2025 Pilot EX-L and dealing with four central Illinois dealerships. Bill Kay Honda and Mena Karas were the clear winners with honest pricing and outstanding service. I bought a truck here and wouldn't recommend Bill Kay Honda to anyone. We waited 3 hours for the financing and then Ed Hanahan decided to put gap insurance on the lien. I didn't ask for it the lien holde Honda to anyone. We waited 3 hours for the financing and then Ed Hanahan decided to put gap insurance on the lien. I didn't ask for it the lien holder didn't require it he just thought I'll add 1200 dollars to this note. So he says it's been canceled but I can't find proof of that. The manager Jeff Linder was suppose to call me and talk to me about it but guess what he's never called. We've bought about 20 cars in the last 22 years and this was the worst dealership experience we've ever had very unethical and dishonest. Disappointment and disgust doesn't even come close to our experience. More
