Bill Utter Jr. was 14 when he started working at Bill Utter Ford. With his new driver's license, Bill began delivering parts for the family dealership. Bill and Virginia Utter opened the doors to their new Ford dealership in 1956 in downtown Denton. It was the beginning of a family tradition of offering the best Ford products and services to North Texas families.
In the early days, they were simply concerned with making ends meet from day to day and treating each customer with courtesy and respect, as they would any friend. Many of those customers became lifelong friends, and the business grew from one referral to another to serve generations. Been here 3x for oil change and tire rotation for 49.99 per their “special”. First time it took 2 hours at quick lane. No big deal, but zero communication that it wasn’t going to be the “usual” 45 min. The per their “special”. First time it took 2 hours at quick lane. No big deal, but zero communication that it wasn’t going to be the “usual” 45 min. Then, Not once but twice I have now been over charged for a Works oil change on a Honda. The synthetic for synthetic blend is understandable, but also for 5 quarts of it (even though it’s still Motorola oil per the coupon) vs the 3.7 it actually takes. When supervisor comes over after incredulous that I don’t understand why it’s $63 vs 50 and does nothing. Want to use them as super convenient, but if they will overcharge w no remorse for maintenance, what will they do for an actual repair? they have lost the Business of our 4 vehicles permanently. Hope the extra $24 was worth it for them. More
