My bf called to make an appointment for my car to get checked because it was acting funny. He was told I needed to bring it to Byers Toyota, even though I bought it the week prior at Byers Ford. He asked checked because it was acting funny. He was told I needed to bring it to Byers Toyota, even though I bought it the week prior at Byers Ford. He asked the person on the phone if they weren’t absolutely sure I needed to go to Byers Ford, as that’s where I’d purchased my car. They insisted I needed to go to Byers Toyota & set up an appointment for me. When I got there, I was told I couldn’t be seen there, since I’d bought my car at Ford & I needed to go to Ford instead. I pointed out I don’t have an appointment there so the person that checked me in called over to see if they could squeeze me in. She told me they said to come on over & they’d get me looked at. When I checked in there, I was told at the service desk they don’t know who she spoke to, but they were completely booked & there was no way for me to be seen that day & I’d have to wait a week. I don’t know if this is the same company with utter lack of communication between their Toyota & Ford “branches” or an unfortunate close proximity between two completely separate companies, but there is something seriously wrong with communication between the two & I felt like my time was completely & unnecessarily wasted & my car still isn’t fixed. (For clarification, I’m not positive Tara is the one who checked me in but it won’t let me continue without a specific name. Whoever did check me in was polite & seemed interested in getting me helped. It’s just the terrible communication between the two facilities I have an issue with. Not a specific person) You guys need better policies in place or training or a list of who to speak to so this doesn’t happen to others. More
