Disappointed I've used Byers service center for several years and have always left feeling confident that my auto was road worthy and safe on the highway. As I dro I've used Byers service center for several years and have always left feeling confident that my auto was road worthy and safe on the highway. As I drove away, this time, i had concerns that maybe they were not as thorough as I had hoped. The young gentleman who assisted me was very nice but after approaching me that service was complete and I was ready to check out, informed me that it was recommended that i replace the air filter asap as it was in the red on my inspection form. Really?!? I explained to him that I made the appointment to receive service..oil change, etc. And this should be completed while I'm here. He replied that the service was complete but offered to order the filter, which would take a few minutes, and that he would install it himself in the parking lot...which he did. Again..this should have been part of the service and not completed in the lot. I was a bit dumbfounded with the whole situation and then charged $32.00 for install which I could have done myself. Understand..this is not about the cost but the fact this should have been completed by an auto tech while my vehicle was being serviced and not as an after thought as I was being escorted to the payment desk. I'm not sure I will return to Byers as I come to them for confident, professional, complete service as I can get shoddy service at many places in town. More
