This is the reason I try to avoid the dealership. More
Dealer uses false advertising. Prices will increase dramatically after you get there. They will lowball you on your trade-in and sell it for at least double. BEWARE! Over multiple visits, my truck spent approximately two weeks in the service department, and I repeatedly had to call, text, or check the online service portal for updates instead of receiving proactive communication. Each time I followed up, the explanation of what was being done to my truck seemed to change or conflict with the previous repair history, leaving me with more questions than answers. After my truck had been at the dealership for another week without any proactive communication, I decided to stop by in person to check on its status. That's when I met with the service department manager. To answer my questions, the service advisor, service department manager, service technician assigned to my truck, and parts manager all gathered together and reviewed the repair history in the dealership's computer system. Even with all four employees in the same room reviewing the dealership's own records, no one could clearly explain which side of my engine had been opened or confidently explain what work had actually been performed. The repair orders, technician notes, and billed parts did not consistently align, making it impossible for me as the customer to understand the repair history of my own vehicle. As a customer, that was extremely concerning. Accurate repair documentation is not optional, especially for major engine repairs. If a dealership cannot clearly explain the repair history of a vehicle using its own records, how can a customer have confidence in the repairs that were performed? Customers shouldn't have to rely on four dealership employees trying to piece together a repair history just to understand what work was performed on their own vehicle. Clear communication, accurate technician documentation, and accountability should be standard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. More
