Ryan was my first contact at the dealership. He listened to what I wanted. Found a car that fit my requirements even though I wasn't planning on a test drive that day since he had to get the keys to open th to what I wanted. I set out on Saturday 19th January to evaluate several vehicles at dealerships with vehicles in my specific target range. The vehicles were all predictably fine with plenty of tangible features.However, there also exists an unfortunate blandness of product due to a commercial need to maintain mass appeal with minimal controvercy, few products have an overal balance of image, appeal, price and all the dynamic and economy aspects that would suit me, an older car designer that is still active in the industry. The Renton Kia dealership had an important edge, 2 in fact, over other dealerships. Firstly, I had been checking on the Optima for some time, so, they had the car that was high on my list for image,surface form,dynamics and price. Secondly, I found I genuinely liked the two main people that I was dealing with.Having done the rounds of dealers and products,I returned to Renton Kia the next Saturday,the 26th. All went well, the overal experience was close to being fun and I left with a new Optima and smile on my face due totally to a great car a fair deal and your personnel, especially James and Daine. The BEST car buying experience ever! I felt like I could be honest about what I could afford and that was never challenged. I drove 2 vehicles and knew the red Soul was for me. Christina's salesmanship style is very calm and soothing. When we entered the lot she greeted us as we were looking at both Sorentos and Sportages. She was very knowlegable and not only explained but demonstrated all the features of both vehicles. Once we sorted out our final questions we went for a comparison drive and Christina continued to demonstrate superior knowledge of the vehicle as she's an owner also. Once we decided on the Sorento the negotiations were only slightly painful and the final purchase went smoothly. Christina did a super fine job on our purchase as we were replacing a Mercedes and had not previously thought Kia products were of any quality... I had thought they were cheap throw away cars.. but thanks to her expert salesmanship we changed our outlook on Kia and now have a 2013 Kia Sorento to prove it. More
