Being a female, and not fully understanding cars and their service needs, I have always found it hard to find someone I can trust when being told what I need to do for my Mazda and how much the true cost is. Steve is the person I trust and recommend to my friends and family. Not only is he honest and helpful but accommodating, letting me know the accurate time frame my car needs to be worked on therefore I can make adequate arrangements, giving me coupons to utilize when available, and always being friendly. I came to Cardinale Way just looking to browse for my very first car. I had no real intention to buy, I was just trying to get an idea on pricing, financing, and to look at the overall availability. We were greeted by Matt Shelton and I immediately felt comfortable with his laid back nature. He answered all of my questions and just let me and my dad browse with no pressure. We looked at both new and used Mazda models and I particularly liked a new, blue hatchback Mazda 3 that was a bit out of my price range but decided I wanted to do some number crunching on the model anyways just to can idea if it could be something I could afford in the future. With my credit score, I qualified on almost everything except my income was a little too low. Matt and his sales manager, Wayne DeLeo were more than helpful and polite and even let my dad an I discuss some things by ourselves. Initially we were going to walk and do a little more talking to way out options. Both Matt and Wayne were more than fine with letting us walk away but Wayne wanted to make sure I was taken care of on some sort of deal before we made a final decision. They then introduced me to a another Mazda 3, this time a sedan and a model that was more in my price range. I was immediately attracted to it and felt more comfortable with it financially. It got even better when Wayne was able to secure an amazing deal with me when we negotiated on a down payment. I ended up purchasing the car and drove home with it that evening. As I stated, I had no intention to actually buy a car, but sometimes there are deals that you just can't pass up. I feel truly blessed that Wayne was able to help on that end and I was more than satisfied with Matt's amazing service. He is the top salesman at that dealership and now I know why. It pays off to be friendly, relaxed, and he really created an environment that made my dad and I comfortable. I could not recommend Cardinale Way in Mesa enough. Top notch customer service, and probably the best buying experience I have ever had. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my experience great and getting me my first car!! More

Most people dread buying a new car, myself included, because of the salespeople and how long it takes. I worked with Brian and he was great. He wasn't pushy at all, but he knew everything I needed to kn because of the salespeople and how long it takes. I worked with Brian and he was great. He wasn't pushy at all, but he knew everything I needed to know about the vehicles. I started out looking at a Mazda 3, but ended up purchasing a Mazda 6. He was very honest about the pros and cons of both vehicles. I told him I was on a time crunch and he worked with me to speed things up as much as possible, but when I wanted something explained further he took the time to do that as well. His manager and the finance director were also very helpful, polite and accomodating. I plan to go back to the dealership for my service needs and would recommend buying from them. More

Went knowing which car I was interested in. After a short test drive, it took over three and one half hours to complete the sale. I even said at one point that we were going to lunch. They didn't like that a test drive, it took over three and one half hours to complete the sale. I even said at one point that we were going to lunch. They didn't like that and said we could 'order in'. We said we would continue to wait. Then, when it was time to sign all the documents, it was rush rush rush, sign here, initial there. Nothing was explained about a $499.90 'doc fee'. Not by the salesman or finance guy. We were so hungry and tired of the experience, (an intentional tactic?) we didn't catch it. Later when I called the salesman and asked about it he told me it was REQUIRED by the state. When I questioned the truth of that he started backpedalling. He admitted he didn't know if it was a required fee or if it was CAPPED by the state. He then said that he had explained the doc fee to me. But how could he when HE didn't understand it? When I said he did not, he called me a liar. I acknowledge initialing the paperwork and accept that I am responsible for getting hoodwinked, but I wanted them to know that operating like they did causes hard feelings. I can afford the mistake and will learn from it. I hope this helps others. Remember, the doc fee is negotiable, like everything else. I will never go near Cardinale Mazda again. More
