I called the dealership to inquire about service since my vehicle didn't have the designated amount of miles needed for an oil change, but I have had it for over 6 months. Steve Ross said to definitely brin vehicle didn't have the designated amount of miles needed for an oil change, but I have had it for over 6 months. Steve Ross said to definitely bring it in for an oil change and in fact, he would have that service performed at no charge to me! Wow, what a surprise that was. Went in on the 1/5/2013 for services on my ex 8 and ended up picking up a new car. Steve and nick rom service are awesome! He's not afraid to take the extra step in letting me know, gently but firmly, that some repairs cannot be put off until later without compromising the vehicle's overall integrity, while other repairs can be pushed back to a later date - but he always remembers when that later date comes around to make sure it's taken care of. My husband and I are new parents to an 8 month old daughter and we were looking to buy a new car that would be safe for her and could support a growing family in the future. We own a Mazda RX8 and have been incredibly happy with the quality of car that Mazda produces, so we decided to look into purchasing a CX-9. Thursday afternoon my husband sent me a link to the Cardinale Way Mazda (Mesa location) webpage because they had extremely good internet sale prices on their 2012 CX-9s. We decided after work that evening we would pack our 8 month old daughter into the car and go for a test drive. Having purchased two vehicles about 7 years ago and knowing how painful that process was we were extremely skeptical that we would do much more than test drive the car and find that the negotiation process was going to take hours and head home. Keep in mind, we are toting along an 8 month old who hasn't really had a good nap since late morning and we got to the dealership around 6pm. Our daughter fell asleep on the way to the dealership, so I sat in the car with her while my husband started the process. Jacob Back was our Sales Consultant. He found out what we were looking for, copied my husband's liscence for the test drive and pulled the CX-9 in question next to our car so we could load the now just barely awake child in to the car. On the test drive Jacob was very informative, pleasant, and not pushy at all. We were able to test the car both on surface streets, on the freeway, in a U-turn situation, and excellerating across multiple lanes of traffic. We were impressed with the car and were now sure that it was the car we wanted to purchase, but that meant it was time to start the ever dreaded haggling with the "car sales man". When we got back to the dealership Jacob was more than happy to let us take a look at the other CX-9s that they had in stock so we could confirm the color and features that we were interested in. All the while our daughter is happy as a clam, cooing at the cars on the lot. After we confirmed that the car we drove was the car we wanted, we went in to talk numbers. We had printed off the internet price and asked if they could do that. We filled out the necessary credit paperwork, and discussed down payment options. Jacob went to discuss the "powers that be" and I was expecting to sit for ages since that has been my experience in the past. I was pleasantly surprised that Jacob was back in just a few minutes with some numbers that were right in line with what we were expecting. There was a little bit of back and forth regarding incentives and %APR, but each time Jacob went back to relay our question or request he was only gone a few minutes. Once we settled on the deal, we finished the paperwork while Jacob let our daughter play with his computer mouse to keep her happy. The longest that we had to wait was for finance, and I believe we only had to wait 15 minutes once Jacob had finished his paperwork. The finance gentleman was incredibly nice and knowledgable. As we "signed our lives away" our daughter was kept content by banging two pens together and on his desk. We arrived at Cardinale Way at 6pm and left with a new car at 9pm - right in time for our daughter's bed time. We left extremely happy with the deal that we just gotten, with the amount of time the entire process took, and with the service we had just received. Everyone at Cardinale Way was friendly and knowledgable. This was not the car buying experience my husband and I are use to. It took us 10 hours to purchase his RX-8 and several days and dealerships to purchase my car, and both experiences were painful. This was painless and pleasant. Jacob was a very good sales man and the right sales man for us since he wasn't pushy, he was happy to let us do what we needed to keep our baby happy during the process, and he was informative and knowledgable about the vehicle. Cardinale Way was an amazing dealership and I would highly recommend going there to purchase a vehicle if you are looking for a hassle free, friendly, "A-typical" car buying experience. I would like to thank both Jacob and Thomas for helping us get the car we wanted for the price we wanted all while keeping our baby happy during the process. You have made two parents exteremely happy and one baby extremely safe in her new car. More
