When the figures came from the sales manager what started as a $12,888 vehicle ended with $16,000 proposal. The tax amount looked different from what I figured. Mesa’s tax rate is 8.3% and the dealers rate was 8.7%. Their doc fee is a bit high at $499.00 and they wanted me to pay them $450.00 (dealer prep fee) for them to sell me a clean car. Curtis wouldn’t budge on any of the fees so I left. Check their figures carefully More
