This was my first visit to Champion Chevrolet, having recently moved from Knoxville to Johnson City and needing my Cadillac serviced. First, I want to say that the gentleman on the service center side w recently moved from Knoxville to Johnson City and needing my Cadillac serviced. First, I want to say that the gentleman on the service center side was great, which I expected the customer service to continue. He was friendly from the moment I pulled up to the garage, and until we parted ways. Service overall was good and no complaints. However, after waiting for 2 hours, I saw my Escalade be pulled out and parked to the side as though it was ready. After about 20 mins, and needing to return to work, I got up to inquire if I was ready to go. I walked to what must have been the parts counter where 2 men were working on computers. I was the only person at the counter and after about a minute one of the men asked if he could help me (no smile, and quickly pointed me to another area). The lady in that office overheard the man tell me to see her and as I stepped in to her doorway, I was immediately met with body language signaling extreme annoyance, which spoke volumes to me. I obviously interfered with the work being done at the parts counter, but this lady looked me up and down from head to toe with a look on her face that let me that I should not be there. She never smiled, she honestly looked completely miserable, and as I proceeded to ask if my car was ready she snapped 'what's the name" to which I responded and again the body language of how she searched through the records behind her basically reflected that of someone being forced to do a job they hate. I am a healthcare executive and am constantly reminded of the importance of customer service, but after the encounter with at your service check out, I find it best that I take my Escalade elsewhere so that I don't have to be made to feel that my $200 for service is not welcomed at Champion Chevrolet. I went to the dealership for some maintenance work including the fact that the heater was not working right. There was one person waiting when I got there and 3hours 15 minutes later I left with the o including the fact that the heater was not working right. There was one person waiting when I got there and 3hours 15 minutes later I left with the only comment on my heating problem being "there is nothing on the computer so we reset it." Guess what it still doesn't work right - it will work if I do what an older mechanic told me. "It sounds like a valve is stuck and to try running the temp up and down. That does work but I find it hard to believe that your mechanics based on what the computer said showed no concerned that in the recent cold weather the heater didn't work in a Cadillac that's not quite two years old. Needless to say my next car will not be another Cadillac. More
