I purchased the tires at a major tire store and had them banlanced twice. This did not correct the problem. Two other Subaru dealers as well could not correct the matter . But Ron Messina and staff took care of the problem. It was the balancing. They also checked my other concerns. They addressed these problems as well, and they got it right the first time. I bought my very first Subaru Outback last year from Citiside Subaru in Belmont. After researching tons of vehicle makes and models, I settled on the Subaru. Why? All wheel drive, excellent fuel consumption, great safety ratings - all criteria I had carefully selected for myself. But after dealing with 3 different dealerships on the North Shore, being made to feel like my business wasn't even important, I decided to leave a message at Subaru Belmont. Who calls me back right away but Peter Rosenberg. I explained my situation and the run around I got and the prices that were quoted me from the other dealerships. Peter's next comment to me is what really drew me to Citiside Subaru. He said, "What can I do to get your business?" For a customer who was frustrated and tired and ready to give up on even buying a Subaru, this was the equivalent of "You had me at Hello". My husband and I made an appointment to come meet with Peter and the rest is history. Peter was excellent and easy going and most important of all? He really listened to my needs. I am on a limited budget and Peter worked hard to get us the deal we wanted. I wouldn't work with anyone but Peter at this dealer ship, although I'm sure the other sales people are good as well. Now, for the Service Department - I live near Lynn and Swampscott, but commute all the way to Belmont to get my Subaru serviced. WHy? The service guys are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. They know what they are doing and I feel "safe" knowing that my vehicle is in good hands. I absolutely love Citiside's service Department! Finance Guys - not so crazy about them. In my profession as a chef I have to deal with salesman all the time, and am constantly being convinced to buy things that benefit the salesman much more than it benefits me as the customer. I never felt pressured or steered in any direction. It felt more like a family friend was helping me to find my dream car. I initially wanted a gently used car, and while he was putting together a list of cars that met my needs, he put me in a brand new car to test drive. When I fell in love with it, he found a way for it to fit my budget, and put me in that car to drive away with. Best decision I ever made was to pick city side Subaru, and I thank my stars that Peter was my sales man. In dealing with salesman every day, I've learned how to make all interactions as short and sweet as possible, but Peter is a guy you'd want to go grab a beer and a burger with, so I found myself staying much longer than needed every time we met. Thank you to everyone who made my experience with city side Subaru what it was, and I'd not only recommend this establishment and Peter, I URGE anyone in the market to rush down and see them! From the beginning, Mark was friendly and helpful. He answered every question I asked via e-mail or in person. When it came for a quote, Mark provided me with a much better price than I expected considering my experience at another dealership. Mark was not pushy and gave me time to think about the purchase. When I was ready to buy the car, he was available when I was available. Before making a deposit, he once again showed me the car I wanted to ensure that I really liked the color since my car would be coming from the factory. When the car came in, Mark checked with me to see how I was and explained that I was waiting because of papers from my insurance company, transfer of plates, etc. He introduced me to John. John carefully explained my extended warranty and maintenance options. I was a little confused but John patiently explained everything until I understood. He explained every piece of paper I signed. When we were done, he told me I could call whenever I wanted with questions. Mark then introduced me to all the people in the Service department and explained the service experience at the dealership. When we went into my car, Mark helped me pair my phone to the car and demonstrated the hands free phone. He checked to see that I knew all the features I needed to know to safely drive off the lot. He did not leave until I felt comfortable to do so. Throughout this whole experience, Mark's sense of humor and pleasant disposition made my car experience stress free and I am very appreciate of that. Since buying the car, the dealership has sent thank you cards and I just received a call from Mark to check in. What customer service!!! I am excited to continue my relationship with this dealership in the future. More

Rapport. Honesty. Trust. You don't expect those words to be descriptors in a car buying experience, but for us they embody our relationship and experience with Peter. Rapport with Peter was almost immediate. He was attentive without being pushy or aggressive. He listened to us and answered all of our questions patiently. When he spoke to us he reflected back to us exactly what we were looking for not just in the car, but in the entire experience of buying and owning a Subaru. What we appreciated most is that most of this initial conversation took place in September of last year, months before we actually bought our car. We had informed him at the time that we were just looking. Even though there may have been other potentials sales that day in the showroom, he took the time to address all of our questions and concerns. Honesty is what we walked away with after our first meeting with Peter. He has a great sense of humor and a genuine ease about him. He's completely transparent and honest.
