He was friendly, courteous, engaging, and above all, patient, despite being busy with several clients as the day went on. He managed a natural balance between low key salesmanship and open and honest communication. When it came to numbers, it took two short trips to the sales manager and we had a deal - one we both felt good about. Instead, I found a pleasant, intelligent, friendly, and relaxed guy who was enthusiastic about his product, and excited to share information with me, but apparently felt no need to pressure me at all. The new 2012 Subaru Impreza (which I am delighted to have purchased at CitySide) may "sell itself" here in New England, so that may have contributed to the atmosphere surrounding this sale, but I have to say, Peter's confidence in the car, was matched by his ability to focus on relating personally to the customer--and this made all the difference for me. This is the first time we buy a new car and I wasn't quiet sure what to expect but I have to say the whole experience has been great. Being a first time new car, buyer walking into any dealership is overwhelming. I anticipated the worst of course, high pressure tactics, plenty of fine print and all the typical assumptions we can hav dealership is overwhelming. However, I walked in and Peter greeted me genuinely. He asked great questions and together we talked through my history of cars, what was on my "list" of consideration, and what my lifestyle needs were in regards to a vehicle. Peter was definitely very interested in working with us and making sure we were happy. We weren't happy with how long we had to wait every time we went in there and there seemed to be a lot of confusion be and making sure we were happy. As far as dealerships go in Boston, this is definitely one of the better ones we've been to and the one we will go to for Subarus as long as we live here. More
