Someone called to schedule an appointment for an oil change. I thought, “why not?” The appointment was for this past Saturday at 11:20 am. I arrived a few minutes early and waited several minutes for t change. I thought, “why not?” The appointment was for this past Saturday at 11:20 am. I arrived a few minutes early and waited several minutes for the service person with whom I had the appointment to come to her desk. After I was checked in, I was told the wait would be between 1.5 and 2 hours. So I don’t understand the purpose of scheduling an appointment. If I make dinner reservations at a restaurant and then upon arrival I’m told there will be a 1.5 to 2 hour wait, that would be completely unacceptable. So why is it different at Cobb County Toyota? I erroneous assumed that my car would be taken right away; otherwise, again, what is the purpose of having an appointment? After waiting in the waiting area for about 15 minutes, I decided to just get my vehicle returned, and I left. In the past, I’ve just shown up for service and understand there may be a lengthy wait. I learned my lesson and will not schedule an appointment for service until you start actually honoring appointments. You can do better. Much better. More
