Rear brake job. Calipers brake pads and rotors. The pedal was soft and the pulsation still there. I removed the rear wheels. IR Titanium 1/2 air gun had a hard time loosening lug nuts. Checked with The pedal was soft and the pulsation still there. I removed the rear wheels. IR Titanium 1/2 air gun had a hard time loosening lug nuts. Checked with bar type torque wrench. Over 200ft/lbs. That can distort aluminum rims, rotors, and studs. Bled brakes and found air in both rear calipers. No rubber bleeder cap covers on both calipers. The old anti rattle clips for the pads were not replaced. No lube on the pad slides. That means the caliper bracket was not cleaned under the anti rattle clips. Over the long run the pads will then bind on the caliper bracket. $850 out the window. I bought front calipers pads and rotors from Ford and replaced them myself today. The pulsation problem was in the left front. James C Langdon More
Oil change and request for monor repairs I requested the scratches to the front bumper of my 2017 leased Ford Edge be repaired, as well as one of the hand grips that became disengaged from it I requested the scratches to the front bumper of my 2017 leased Ford Edge be repaired, as well as one of the hand grips that became disengaged from it's ceiling mount. At the same time the service department recommended the 15k mile oil change be conducted, so the appointment was scheduled for Monday at 8 AM the following week. I dropped the car off as scheduled and was notified at 11:30 AM the same day the car was ready for pick up. The oil change and repair to the hand grip were completed, as well as an attempt to buff the scratches out; which came very close to accomplishing the task, however the scratches were too deep. I was provided the name of a recommended body shop and will complete the work there. This is just another example of why Columbia Ford is a 5 star dealership: the service was on schedule, accomplished in a timely manner, the service representative was professional and asked if I needed a ride home (I didn't need one, but a ride was offered), and there was no charge for the oil change, hand grip repair or buffing the scratched bumper. Columbia Ford continues to impress me with the fact that it is the best dealership in the area, to both purchase a car and have your car serviced at. More
