My husband and I just bought our used car from Cortese and was very impressed with the fast and friendly service we received. Wayne Rainey and explained the situation to him and he said to bring it right and would have one of service guys look at. We spoke with Charles Halter and he said they would have to order a new one and would be able to put it in as soon as it came in. The next day we got a call from them saying it was in and to come right up so they can replace. We got there and it took them about 15 minutes to replace the old one. We were so please and impressed with the fast service we received. Most of all we were happy that the $200.00 headlight was covered under our 60 day warranty and we did not have to pay a thing. We made an appointment for a test drive at Cortese Lincoln with Bill Clifford to check out their MKZ hybrids. Upon arriving at the showroom we met the salesperson and were able to view a number of the Lincoln with Bill Clifford to check out their MKZ hybrids. Upon arriving at the showroom we met the salesperson and were able to view a number of the vehicles they had available. While they did not have an exact match in terms of the features we required on that model, we were able to locate one at another dealer. We were pleasantly surprised to find Mr. Clifford was extremely knowledgeable about the specs and features of the vehicle. Once we located a vehicle we were interested in and began to discuss prices and our trade-in things did not go so well. They did not want to budge on the asking price of over $41k for a vehicle which was identical to one another dealer had quoted me a price of $38k on. Furthermore our fully loaded trade that is 3 years old and in mint condition they wanted to only offer $16k when it bluebooks at $22k-$24k. I had another dealer offer $21k right from the start. Cortese even lists another used one lacking the Power Moonroof and Vista Roof ours has for $27k! Additionally Bill told us that they would be driving the dealer trade back and putting around 300 miles on the vehicle. Having bought new cars that the dealers picked up very far away and trailered back I was shocked that Cortese did not do the same. Unfortunately it appears they do not place the same emphasis on customer service and exceeding expectations that other dealers do. After over a hour of discussing the sale we chose to leave after making no progress and the salesman becoming belligerent during negotiations. We've chosen to make our purchase of yet another new Lincoln elsewhere based on Cortese's inability to provide competitive pricing, trade-in offers and customer service. More
