I am disappointed with how things went on this purchase. I was looking for a used truck with around 30k or so. The sales rep was helpful and we settled on a 2022 Tacoma with about 36k. He pointed out it only had 1 previous owner, which was true. I didn’t notice until I got home after the purchase that the 1 owner was a rental company. Obviously, this is not the same as one private owner. I guess ultimately, this is on me for not paying attention to all the details. However, I am very disappointed that a dealership this size would even be reselling rental cars and that they didn’t make sure to let me know that they do. I still would’ve bought a truck that day, it would’ve just been a different one. I would have even been willing to pay more for a truck, that was not a previous rental. It makes me feel a little sick and I won’t be coming back for my next purchase. Thanks for the chance to provide feedback. More

Overalls, my experience with Corwin dealership was mixed. Bob Darbe was great and very helpful. Tamara Gonzales was excellent. Very knowledgeable, efficient and great customer service skills. Unfortunately, I can not say the same about Robert Barrera. I found that he had poor listening skills and talked over me. He came off as the typical pushy "used car salesman". Not a good reflection on Corwin in my opinion. Mr. Barrera also made gave me false information about the Toyota 4-Runner Limited. He told me I only have to use 85 octane fuel in an effort to oversell the vehicle. I knew that was not correct because I owned a 2015 4-Runner Limited. Page 526 of the owner's manual clearly states that 87 octane fuel should be used. According to support.toyota.com, "we do not recommend using a lower octane fuel than what is recommended for your particular vehicle. Use of gasoline with an octane rating lower than what is recommended may result in engine knocking. Persistent knocking can lead to engine damage". Mr. Barrera's misinformation could represent a serious liability issue for Corwin if customers followed his advice and later had engine damage on the vehicle they purchased from Corwin. Also, Mr. Barrera did not even know how to pair my iPhone with the vehicle. He had me download the Toyota app and create an account. He could not get it to work. I tried to tell him that you do not need the app to pair the phone. I proceeded to show him how to do it and successfully paired my phone. As Service Manager, Mr. Barrera should set a standard for excellent customer service and knowledge of Toyota vehicles. I gave him a one star rating but he really deserves a zero star rating. More

Felt the sale was more important than my buying experience. While I recognize some of the issues and timelines it seemed that it was rushed and the execution was poor. The car was delivered with experience. While I recognize some of the issues and timelines it seemed that it was rushed and the execution was poor. The car was delivered with the interior very dirty and a half a tank of gas. This was after a misunderstanding between the salesman which led to a drawn out buying experience and an interior warning that would remain for a few weeks until they could resolve with missing hardware. Again, the whole experience seemed to focus on getting the car off the lot than doing the right thing for the customer. More
