Thank you for the response, Paul. I did receive the voicemails, and I want to clarify that my concerns were never about being “unable to make a deal” or expecting something unreasonable. My issue was with the lack of transparency throughout the process. The truck I originally came to see suddenly became unavailable during my appointment, while I was steered toward a lesser-equipped truck at a similar price point. The advertised rebates and financing offers also changed once we sat down, which felt misleading. In addition, I was presented with nearly $2,000 in add-ons that were described as effectively mandatory, including nitrogen-filled tires, KeyFetch, tint, and other products I never requested. When I questioned them, I was told, “This is what we do when we sell vehicles.” What concerned me most was the financing conversation. I was told by the salesperson, finance manager Ryan, and management that 5.75% through Global was the “best rate available.” However, after checking myself, I discovered I could apply directly through Global Credit Union and receive a lower 5.5% rate, along with GAP coverage for substantially less than what was being presented in the dealership. During the process, the statement was also made that “if you don’t sign with us, we’re going to do the deal,” which gave the impression that I would not be allowed to purchase the truck unless I agreed to finance through the dealership at the higher rate being presented. That is difficult to understand as a customer. Why would a dealership not want its customer to receive the best possible rate available, whether through the dealer or directly through the lender itself? Instead of helping the customer secure the best overall deal, the experience felt centered around maximizing add-ons and financing profit margins. To be clear, I was not asking for anything unrealistic. I simply wanted a straightforward purchase agreement consisting of: • Advertised vehicle price • Tax • Title/registration • Standard documentation fee No forced add-ons. No inflated products. No games. Consumers should not have to fact-check every number during a vehicle purchase just to feel comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, experiences like this continue to reinforce the negative reputation many dealerships struggle to overcome. I appreciate the response and wish your dealership the best moving forward.
