Inherited this car. 2003 Acura TL, 80,000 miles. Reviewed previous recommendations by Acura regarding this car. 2010:recommended torque converter seal, and rear mail seal replacement. This was not done. I understand that you recommend a host of procedures at 7 years/ 100,000 miles. I saw those recommendations at 7 years of age and 45,000 miles. I understand that you have those recommendations, but... No issues occurred with the car over the following 11 years, other than ignition switch issue on a cross country trip, and battery replacement. 7/15: rear main seal replacement recommended 9/16:recommended oil leak issue treatment , estimate $88. 11/17: recommended replace rear main seal. Estimate-$2182. Then I inherited the car. Brought it in for service. 3/22: recommend: battery, brake, fluid, ps fluid, tires/ align/balance, front engine mount, timing belt/WP service/accessory bels, tensioner, adjust valves, spark plugs. No mention of oil leakage, or transmission fluid issues I choose to do oil change, brake fluid, PS fluid,, new tires, allignment nitrogen. I did not know there was fee for nitrogen. Fee:$2801.61. I will do battery, valve adjust, and spark plug replacement at my leisure. I spoke with mechanic briefly. He was very pleasant and informative. Original service agent off that day. Substitute agent present. I have 2003 Honda CRV with 185,000 miles. This car has had minimal issues, other than wheel bearing noise. I will admit that I have had extreme negative interaction with Honda dealer overseas, which may affect my perception of dealer service. I expect the same or better reliability with this Acura vehicle. I remain a bit concerned about reliability of recommendations for this vehicle, in particular oil issue and perhaps transmission fluid issue. So, as I wrote to Acura survey, I am on the fence. I do not generally feel the dealership is a good place to get a measured advice about the condition of the car, although I will admit that the staff was generally pleasant, other than the indifference of the substitute service agent.

Took my new Acura in for it's first oil service change. Jack Aran helped me. This dealership has it right - they care about their customers and do an excellent job at servicing. All was as expected and timing was as promised. They are amazing.
