Courtesy Acura in Littleton inherited a difficult situation from back in Indiana. Our entire sound system failed in our 2019 RDX while living in Indiana. The failure created static noise, even at times when the car was shut off. Courtesy Acura at first determined the issue was with a "harness" that would require major work. Then they discovered a new device, called a "pigtail", would perhaps solve the problem but with less work time and at a lesser cost. The problem then was the fact any parts to make the repair were on back order. When the pigtail came in, the repair was set up. However, when this was installed it did NOT solve the sound issue and it was determined the larger harness would need to be installed. That was going to take 1-2 weeks to install. Later, however, the service personnel realized that a connector part had been damaged back at the Ed Martin dealership in Indianapolis. When that was determined, they were able to move forward and, in about two weeks time, finished the repair. To date, the sound system is operating as it should. While this process took over a full year to resolve and repair, it was not due to Courtesy Acura having much, or any, control over the eventual resolution. The service personnel were always kind and courteous to me and we are grateful to have the system operating as it should be. More
