Service department and service personnel are great. Problem is when you drive into the service area you immediately have a sales person in your face wanting to take your vehicle for an appraisal. I had one today before I even got out of my truck and a second one 5 minutes later and they clearly have a hard time taking no for an answer. This also happened the last time I came here for service. If I wanted to buy a vehicle I wouldn’t have made an appointment to get service on the one I currently have. This is why I will not buy a vehicle here. While I was waiting I went up front and asked to speak to a manager and explained that many folks don’t care for the ambush sales tactic and was told by the customer relations lady I spoke to that she couldn’t do anything about the sales people’s tactics. I’ll just go to Lakeland Toyota for now on. Unless you like being harassed while trying to get your vehicle serviced I would highly recommend you not come here. The salesman told me he would wait for me after hours to purchase the vehicle as I couldn’t arrive until 7pm. I packed my family into the car and drove over an hour to buy the vehicle. After being shuffled into the sales office and instructed to “hurry up” I was told to wait in a chair while the salesman talked to the manager. He returned ten minutes later to tell me the vehicle had already been sold. After obviously being upset about being promised a vehicle he sent the manager in who told me, “just because we say something doesn’t make it true.” And then proceeded to tell me all the reasons they aren’t required to hold a vehicle. I asked him why they would let me drive so far. Then he continued with the benefits of buying a different vehicle. It was then obvious to me that they had every intention to just get me into the dealership to sell me a more expensive vehicle. I did not get an apology until my way out the door. It is evident from the lack of integrity coming from a manager that this dealership clearly has no intentions of respecting the time of its customers. I have never been so disrespected and would drive out of my way to avoid giving them my business. There is a reason that people hate buying new cars. Courtesy Toyota is a perfect example as to why. As a father and a husband I have a lot of patients, and it takes a lot to get me to verbalize my anger. I will never forget the way I was treated in front of my 3 year old daughter and wife, with complete lack of respect. Crap customer service and subpar car servicing The gentleman in charge of my vehicle quoted me $50 plus tax on an oil change and sanitizing service. I was charged $61.40. He lied to me. For me to have been charged 61.40 the tax rate would have been about 22 percent. When returning my vehicle to me he didn't know which model or color it was. I had to say no that is not my car. The service people left a dirty rag in my car that stunk of gasoline, which made my entire car's interior smell like gasoline. The "sanitizing" of my car interior appeared to have been done with some type of grease, which was very clearly visibly coating my touchscreen panel and my windows. I had to take a towel and scrub it all to remove it. Lastly, the interior of my car is partially white. My door's side panels are white and someone had made a mess of it. The panel had large brownish (may be coffee) stains and a splatter pattern. When I returned to complain about it (which was almost immediately) the service advisor (if that is the title) had already forgotten me. He must have the memory span of a gold fish since I had just paid and he had just tried to return to me someone else's car. He said, "was I taking care of you before?" The xxxxx on the man. Really at this point I was livid. I keep the white part of my car white. I make a point of taking care of them. To sum up, get the final amount they will charge you printed and signed before letting them work on your car. I was lied to and paid more money than I was told I would. The service team was not careful with my car at all, the sanitizing process is just a thick grease coating and the gentleman in charge of the entire process was just up in the cloud, or pretending to be. Terrible service all together. I will never go back and would not recommend this service center under any circumstances. The gentleman who "took care" of me never gave me his name. More

Buyer Beware I purchased a 2019 Toyota Corolla and in January 2020 I got a notice from Carfax (not Toyota) that there were serious recalls on my car: (1) the car I purchased a 2019 Toyota Corolla and in January 2020 I got a notice from Carfax (not Toyota) that there were serious recalls on my car: (1) the car can stall when driving at high speeds which can cause an accident (recall wording) and (2) there is a problem with airbag and seatbelt pretensioners. Living in Tampa, FL, driving at high speeds and excessive traffic, this is a dangerous combination. When contacting the dealership, I was told there is no remedy as of yet so don't bring my car in. I contacted headquarters and was told the same thing. When I went back to the dealership to get a loaner car while they "found the remedy", I was told by a service rep Toyota does not have to do anything and I should just keep driving my vehicle. I pointed out another issue that turned out to be a manufacturer defect and was told by this same rep it was my fault and Toyota would not fix it (mind you, it is a new 2019 and still very much under warranty). I have never had a service rep be so rude. Dealing with Toyota just got worse from there. After four months of my car being out of commission, reaching out to managers and not having them return my call or email, getting called at work to come in "right away" as they had to change out my loaner car, and the distress of paying on a vehicle I can't even drive has turned out to be a very bad experience. I have had recalls on cars previously ... I understand there will be recalls .... but to state there is no remedy at the moment on a 2019 vehicle is unacceptable. In the past, if a recall was issued, I would take in my car and it would be fixed immediately. In researching this, I discovered there is a huge number of these vehicles with these issues on the road. That is also unacceptable. As a customer, I feel as though they were happy to sell their consumers their vehicles, but then leave us to have to pick up their pieces. Ultimately, I am now working with the Attorney General because of such unacceptable treatment and service. I tried to reach out to Mike Schepise, General Manager of the dealership, but was blocked in doing so. As a consumer, this is also unacceptable. In short: Buyer Beware. More
