Well, the least they could have told me was how much the price of the car was going to be, how much I had to put down and whether I needed a cosigner. However, the agent made up an excuse that the banks were closed on Sundays and would not show me any numbers on the car.

I also sent Stefan an email that Sunday night and did not receive anything back, so that doesn't say a lot for customer service. I also have received no phone calls.

Jesse, In response to your below email and DealerRater comments: The vehicle you are interested in is listed on my website for $19,799, which includes ALL applicable rebates, plus Tax, Tags, Freight, and Processing Fee. http://www.criswellchevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/new-2013-Chevrolet-Camaro-Coupe_1LS-Gaithersburg-MD/1892216073 We will pay you $7,000 for your 2007 Dodge Ram, with a payoff of app. $11,200. You also shared with us that you had $3000 as down payment, but that wouldn’t be available for 2 weeks. For people such as yourself, with a few “blips” on their credit and a credit score in the lower 25% of the Equifax FICO Credit Score Ratings, it is extremely difficult to speak with a Credit Analyst at one of the Banks that accept such conditions on Sundays. Stefan was not “making up” an excuse, just telling you the facts. In addition, since there was no Analyst to speak with, there was no way to know whether I could get an approval or not, much less, what interest rate they would extend. And even if everything had aligned perfectly, since you are, or were, 2 weeks away from having any down payment, any approval I may have obtained would probably be subject to a resubmission and review when you actually had your down payment, and were ready to take delivery of the vehicle. We strive not to make too many credit inquiries and submissions prior to a customer being ready to take delivery, as additional credit inquiries tend to drive someone’s scores down even further, and we want to be able to offer the best possible terms at that time. I hope this answers any questions and alleviates any concerns you may have. We would love to have your business, and will work very hard to earn it whenever you are ready to move forward. Generally, when I buy a car the dealer gives me the $0 down baseline and I decide how much I want to put down after that. He could have pulled a baseline at $0 down. I was approved for a mustang at Apple Ford at the $0 down baseline and was approved. Although, I hate the mustang relative to the Camaro, so I think I'm going to hold off for the Camaro SS after my house in NY is sold. You shouldn't just push people away regardless of how much they want or need to put down. Thanks,
