We would like to start by apologizing that you had a bad experience with our dealership, Kristin. It is difficult to respond appropriately to an experience from April of 2011, but in reviewing our records we see that we serviced your 2005 XC90 twice in May, 2011, which your extended warranty fully covered in both cases. We do not have a record of being given the opportunity to cover any engine replacement under your extended warranty. Per your request this morning via a voicemail, we have requested your removal from all of our distribution lists, including the one reminding you that we haven't seen you for service in some time. We are very sorry you are so upset about your service visit at Culver City Volvo. In the interest of fairness and because of the public nature of this forum, we would like to fill in a couple of the gaps in your review. Your Volvo was originally brought to us by an independent garage who determined they were unable to service your Volvo properly. After that garage picked up your Volvo, you contacted our Service Writer, threatening him and using abusive language because your Volvo was not fixed correctly. He offered to have you bring the car back to determine the exactly what the problem was, as is our standard procedure - we are dedicated to customer satisfaction. Instead, you became irate and hung up on him. You then called back at 7:15 AM, leaving what can only be characterized as a very rude voice mail for our General Manager, threatening to contact Volvo Corporate offices unless you got an immediate call back. At this point we had attempted to work with an independent garage that was incapable of fixing your Volvo, had offered to see what was still wrong with your Volvo after they returned the car to you (which you refused), and had listened to some less-than-professional language and threats. I will sincerely discuss and clarify this situation with you, on the condition that you maintain a tone and language that is professional and respectful.
