Back End of Sale Paperwork Was A NIGHTMARE After a good buying experience, trying to get my new car registered and licensed in another state was an absolute and complete nightmare. So much so, After a good buying experience, trying to get my new car registered and licensed in another state was an absolute and complete nightmare. So much so, that I will NEVER purchase another car from this dealer OR one of their sister dealerships. The woman responsible for titles and related paperwork - Sue - was completely incompetent and really botched my deal. After sitting on the paperwork for 3 full weeks, she then sent the paperwork to an agent in another state for follow through. And, this action wouldn't have happened when it did were it not for my calling to see where everything was. The agent then sent incomplete paperwork to the out of state licensing authority. So, then had to send it back to the agent. In the interim, the 30 day temporary plate was due to expire. I called to ask for another plate while this was all going on and was told that it was "no problem, a plate would in my hands in 2 days." 2 days later, no plate. Called Sue to see what was the dealy now and she said that she couldn't send me an extended plate; it was against IL law. Now, isn't that something she should have known earlier? At this point I am so disgusted that I told Sue that I was going to rent a car for my use until the paperwork arrived AND I was going bill the dealership for the cost. The threat of the lawsuit finally got things moving and amazingly, the full paperwork package was overnighted to me. Of course, even that was screwed up. Clue to Sue - overnight means tomorrow, not 2 days later. This was most interesting because I was told when I bought the car that they had to take care of the paperwork; that I couldn't pick it a few days later or have it sent directly to me. What a mess. To think that Currie Motors charges extra fees for this level of incompetence. Anyway - buyer beware. They were friendly and nice to deal with...until the deal was done. More

I didn't have all of my paperwork with me and thought I would be without service for my entire trip. On a hunch, I decided to text Scott, my salesman, to see if he could help me resolve the issue. Scott had the answer, and my service was restored within minutes. I resumed my trip feeling relieved that I could get the assistance I needed even while I was out of town. I would also like to thank John Trehey for his advice and service during my recent oil change appointment. Service was quick and the experience was pleasant.
