Mustang1247, Hello, this is Jason Aller service manager for Curry Honda service department. I want to thank you for bringing this to my attention. I did speak with Jevon, the service advisor that helped you recently. I asked him if he had recently installed a key fab battery for a customer, he said yes over a week ago but could not remember your last name, so I could look you up in the computer and call you. Jevon is new and in training, he charged you labor to install the battery fab not realizing that is a no charge service we do for free. I have guided/trained him on everything we do not charge for so it does not happen again. Please reach out to me with my information below, so I can reimburse you back for this. I see you are a happy Curry Honda customer, I am sorry this caused concern. We appreciate your business and certainly want to correct this situation. Yes, I would definitely replace a key fab battery for free, for anyone no matter where they purchased or service their Honda, I apologize you were charged for that and want you to know you can call me personally at any time and I will resolve the situation. The mention of the free battery was of an occurrence at another Honda dealership in CT. Not only was the installation free but the battery was also provided for free. I mention it only as a comparison but it certainly was unexpected and caught my attention in that I was not a regular customer. I should also mention that a friend of mine was also charged for a key battery at yet another Springfield area Honda dealership so the aforementioned CT "no charge" was refreshing. I consider the cost of dealership repairs to be high in general. However this in no way reflects upon the service I receive/received which I consider to be excellent.
