Chris and Joe were absolutely awesome! They always take great care of us here. I had no clue what anything on my paperwork meant. I purchased a vehicle from Curry Honda approximately nine months ago, and my experience has been mixed. While the initial purchase seemed promising, my overall experience with the dealership and the third-pa months ago, and my experience has been mixed. While the initial purchase seemed promising, my overall experience with the dealership and the third-party warranty service has been far from satisfactory. Despite investing nearly $4,000 in what was presented as a comprehensive platinum warranty plan, I quickly discovered that it does not cover essential repairs, including a blown shock absorber on my SUV with only 28,000 miles. I took my car to the Curry Honda dealership, where I purchased the vehicle, for diagnostics. I had already informed them about the issues with the blind spot monitoring and lane assist systems, so I did not need a diagnosis to tell me what was wrong. However, after having my car all day, they charged me over $160 simply to confirm the codes for the exact problems I had already described, without being able to provide any solutions or repairs. Frustratingly, they directed me to Marcott Ford for any necessary repairs. Marcott Ford had my car for two full days, from 7 AM until I picked it up at 5:30 PM the following day. Throughout this entire process, dealing with the warranty provider has been incredibly frustrating. There is no representative available to answer the phone; you must leave a voicemail and hope they get back to you in a timely manner. The dealership has also spent considerable time on hold with them, but they cannot stay on hold all day, leading to further delays. I had expected that all repairs would be handled at Curry Honda, and I was never informed that many of them would need to be done at the Ford dealership. After reading about the possibilities for a refund on the warranty, I learned that it would be prorated and significantly reduced, considering it has been nine months. At this point, it wouldn’t even be worth pursuing a refund, but I wouldn’t consider getting this warranty again. I had to learn all of this on my own, as I was not informed of any of these details during the purchase. Bottom line on my review of Curry Honda is this: if you buy a used car and go into the office for the third-party warranty after the sale, I suggest you stay firm. If you don’t feel it’s right, say no and stick to your decision. If they keep pressing you, offer to call the insurance company to see if they answer the phone. If they don’t answer or you have to leave a voicemail, then firmly say you’re not interested. If they do answer, then you might consider the policy. I know they’re probably not going to answer, so consider this your out in dealing with this gentleman. You’re welcome! More
On my previous visit to replace my back brakes my service attendant informed me that my front brakes were also going to be needing replacement soon. Over the last few months I’ve been feeling and hearing squ attendant informed me that my front brakes were also going to be needing replacement soon. Over the last few months I’ve been feeling and hearing squeezing coming from my brakes, and now after I just replaced my starter both my brakes were rated in the green. So I guess my brakes magically repaired themselves? Or my previous visit was inaccurate. Either way after being charged $1100 to replace a starter I think I’ll go somewhere else next time. More
