James, Hello, my name is Jason Aller, I am the service director for Curry Honda service department. I wanted to reach out and say thanks for the 5 stars on Ryan. I wanted to ask what it was that sparked your comment about pricing being outrageous? I see you have been coming here consistently since 2007 with your vehicle, so I have to assume you like our dealership and have never complained about pricing until now. I would like to address this with you if you feel it's needed. I am available to speak anytime, and would like to know what it was you were concerned with. There were no extra recommendations and I see you only had an oil change, and you have been here for almost all oil changes since 2007 with 30,000 miles. Some of our pricing has gone up and down, depending on the market price for fluids, parts etc. These price increases are beyond our control, and this effects the whole automobile industry, not just Curry Honda. We spend a good amount of time price shopping our area consistently, to make sure our pricing is competitive with the shops in our area. You would be amazed if you called around for pricing at some local facility's on your 2003 CRV specifically, we did just to check- Jiffy Lube was $84.99, Valvoline was $79.95, Firestone was over $100.00, Closest Honda Dealer $64.95, Walmart was the cheapest at $52.88, but I am sure they are using the lowest quality products and non-factory trained technicians. I certainly do not want to come off as defensive, but more so trying to make our customers aware that the dealership prices are as competitive and in so many more cases, cheaper than all the chain and mom and pop stores. Sure there are some out there cheaper, and many more expensive. What we offer is competitive pricing, with the most educated Honda technicians and service staff in the area. Our technicians go through extensive training with the manufacturer, to ensure your Honda is fixed right the first time, and your safety is 100%. We cut no corners and truly love our customers and try to treat them like family. I hope if you have any questions, you can feel free to reach out to me personally with the information below. Hello Jason, I must appologize for my comment. I should have been more specific. Your price for an oil change is more than reasonable. I was refering to labor prices. I had been going through past work orders, for example my visit on 2/12/21. I was in the shop for 2 1/2 hours and the labor charge was $317.95 which I thought was a bit excessive thus prompting my comment. I've been a loyal Curry customer for many years and will continue to be so. My 03 CRV, Less than 100K mi. is in great shape thanks to your team. I tell friends that I'll be buried in it, (I have 2 cemetery xxxxxxreserved to accomodate it). You guys are great ! See you at the next oil change.
