New Car Lease Transmission Problem I was disappointed when my brand new Honda Civic had a transmission problem. I took it back to the dealer after 6 days so it could be repaired. This w I was disappointed when my brand new Honda Civic had a transmission problem. I took it back to the dealer after 6 days so it could be repaired. This was shocking because I'd had various Honda models over the course of 30 years and never needed a significant repair. The service manager, Steve at DCH Honda in Eatontown, NJ was A-MAZING! Steve put me in a rental car at their expense and did everything possible to fix my car and accommodate my never-ending questions. At times, I was a bit demanding due to the inconvenience, but Steve's customer service skills were beyond perfection. He was patient and effective throughout the process. When my car was repaired with a new transmission, Steve went the extra mile by returning my car washed and ready to go. Although, I was upset that my new car had a big problem, Steve showed me nothing but the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Kudos to Sergio, my mechanic, who was excellent in assessing and resolving a difficult problem. More
