Dean Team Hyundai

It came with a 2,000-mile/60 days warranty. That same evening, my husband also came in and checked it out. We were told again of the warranty, which was also pasted to the window of the van. He put $500 down on it. The following day (March 8) my daughter and I came to pick it up and give them a check for the balance. We were forced to wait over an hr. She signed various documents, including the warranty, and we were told the papers would all be mailed to her. On the way home, the transmission went out. Dean Team sent a tow truck and provided her with a rental van at no charge. After a week, she tried to find out the status on the repair. After days of phone calls not being returned, one guy finally told her to stop calling and talk to the sales guy (Andy Miller) who she had also left msgs. with. A month later, the car was finally finished. When she picked it up and took it to the license bureau, the inspection was expired. She ended up getting it re-inspected at her own cost, and was told to mail Andy the bill. She has yet to be reimbursed. The inspection showed that the van has a cracked left boot and needs a new left axle. The mechanic at the transmission repair place told her that the boot was already in bad shape when they repaired the tranny, that Dean Team was informed, and that they did/said nothing. She has the receipt from them also stating this. Needless to say, none of her phone calls have been returned. The papers she received in the mail show that the warranty she signed was altered to “As-is, No Warranty” (even though the box showing that there IS a warranty was still checked). This is fraud. Since she has been unsuccessful in getting anyone there to speak with her, she has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will update this review if/when there is a resolution. My daughter, husband and I were treated extremely rudely by these people, in particular Andy, who raised his voice to me on the phone when I called about the inspection, and basically said that they were doing us a favor by selling us this piece of ___. I wish we had read all the negative reviews before doing business with them. Update: Dealer contacted us late last week (4/15/11). Claimed that reimbursement for inspection was mailed Thursday, still has not been received. Stated will fix van axle. Van was taken there Monday afternoon. Van is still there, not fixed, work in progress. Altered warranty still not addressed. Will update when/if status changes. Update (4/25/11): Axle/boot were repaired and van was returned to my daughter. Reimbursement was received for inspection; had been mailed to wrong address. Verbal promise received from service manager Tom Gould that dealership will honor remainder of altered limited warranty (has approximately two weeks left). Would we buy another vehicle from this company? Absolutely not. In the end, they honored the limited warranty although it took this rating site and my review to get them to do so. Your results, of course, may vary. More

Scott was Professional to work with and stood by his prices. Did not have to deal with the normal nonsense that you find at other dealers. I have been a customer with this Hyundri Dealership for over 10 yrs and I travel 70 miles one way. I have always been treated with the greatest professionalism, the entire staff make me feel at home. Andy has sold me 3 cars now and I feel he is honest and works for me. I consider him a friend. Craig in Service always fits me in, calls me by name and gets me out asap. Tom, the general sales manager, since he started in 07 always greets me and makes me feel I am the only customer in lobby. Not sure about his pick for Super Bowl but still a nice guy..Just kidding Tom. I would give this dealership a overall 5 for sure. More

My husband and I went to another dealership looking at a different brand of car and felt the salesman was very pushy. We had to buy a car because of a car accident that totaled one of our cars and they gave us the car we test drove, and eventually bought, without a bat of an eyelash. It was very nice to know Dean Team trusted us and allowed us to take the car before the sale was completed. My 2001 Hyundai was totaled in an accident. I knew I wanted another Hyundai, so I visited Dick Dean in Ballwin, MO. I wanted a few minutes to look over the cars on the floor; well, after 20 minutes, no wanted another Hyundai, so I visited Dick Dean in Ballwin, MO. As I was leaving the dealership, I turned back and looked as some of the staff, hoping someone would offer to help me, and although some looked at me, not one person addressed me. I'm not sure if it's that I was a woman alone, but that shouldn't matter. I was told by a friend, who had a similar experience, to visit Dave Mungenast in Hazelwood, MO. I am glad he did, because I purchased my Hyundai Genesis from them – a great sales and SERVICE team. More

After giving our car to our college-bound daughter, we were in desperate need of a newer car. We usually always purchase Chevy or GMC. He took the time to look at different models and compare the features so we would be sure to get the car that best fits our lifestyle! We ended up purchasing the 2011 Sonata, this is our first brand new car purchase and Daryyl made it extremely easy for us and we even took it home that day! I went into the dealership looking for a used car with better gas millage and a lower payment. I was looking for a used car to commute back and forth from work. He then also suggested that he had some new 2010 elantras on the lot that with the incentives and discounts I could have a brand new car for about the same price. Since I love to drive a manual transmission that saved me even more money. He took the time to listen to what I had to say and found me what I was looking for and he did one better. He got me into a new 2010 elantra blue with 8 miles on it. I have never bought a brand new car before he made my dreams come true and he probly didn't even relize it. I will deffinatly come back to buy another car there. Darryl was amazing. I have always thought car salesman were out to only make a buck but he proved me wrong. He really went the extra mile to get the perfect car for the perfect price for me. He was very knowlegable about all the cars in every make and model not just the hyundai's. He also educated me on all the awards and the misconceptions that I had about hyundai's. After driving the elantra for the past 4 months I don't think I will drive anything else other than a Hyundai. Thanks to Darryl and all the guys at Dean Team. I have told all my friends about the great deal I got and I suggested to them that they should go see Darryl too.....they won't be dissapointed. More

Due to an unforeseen accident our family was in need of 2 vehicles. After considering 41 vehicles during a 3 1/2 week period, I choose Dean Hyundai based on the price to value over every other manufacturer i vehicles. It was free of pressure, and Tom and Eric went out of their way to help me with selecting the right vehicles for our family. I was able to test drive freely and without hesitation the team was open to our needs and timing. I would recommend Dean Hyundai over any auto dealer in the St Louis area. it was a difficult decision to no longer purchase american but now that I have I am thrilled with the result. More
